Portion control is a biggie plus I gave up potatoes. I didnt feel like the potatoes were worth the calories so I quit eating them.

I bought a box of thin mints, a box of Do Si Dos and a box of the new granola bars. I will give the thin mints to my nephew minus 2 cookies, the Do Si Dos to my Dad minus 2 cookies and I will keep the granola bars. All in moderation.

I think you are being very smart. I went back to school in my mid 30's to finish my bachelors. I always like to say I was born a size 12. I have always been on the heavy side but played sports in high school so it was always somewhat under control. When I graduated from high school and went to college I ballooned and have been fighting it ever since.
