  • Completed W6D3 of C25K and walked 1.23 miles with my dog. Probably very little to track tomorrow as we're tailgating and going to a game, but I'll wear my phone for the pedometer and try to get something added to my goal.
  • Date: January 2nd Exercised?: Yes (walked dog, did 35 minutes of bodyweight trng) Calories?: Yes Tracked?: Yes Feeling really good about this great start to the new year. Power on, UAC buddies!
  • I like this concept a lot so I'm in. And I can definitely see the point and benefit of the no specific foods rule. January: Me: 1 (feeling good about the rest of today so soon to be a 2!) Binge: 0 I'm in it to win it. Thanks for starting this!
  • It's a rest day, but walked the ever-grateful dog, so here's my progress:
  • Such a great post!! For me, the most motivational part of your success story is that it really sounds like you have such a healthy and workable relationship with food and working out. I love it and it gives me hope that if I keep trying to figure out my own plan, and just go with what works for me, then I'll get there. My…
  • Not sure if I should post here or if there's a standalone group elsewhere, but I'd like to know whether there are any opinions on large versus small meals and the effects on binge patterns. I struggle with consistency and tbh I'd rather sit down and eat 3 (or less) meals a day than to plan out food for every 2-3 hours. But…
  • Hi I'm Jen. I'm so excited for the new year and this challenge. It looks tough, but any good challenge is. I'm hoping I gain some serious consistency across the board and I think this will be a good way to work towards that.
  • I'm in. I need this accountability. Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes, I was high in carbs and could have made some better choices, but overall I was within budget. Did I exercise for 20+ minutes? Yes, I completed Week 6 Day 2 of C25K - Ran 20 minutes, walked 13 minutes. Did I keep track of everyting I…
  • I'm in. Had a rough start to the year, but ready to be a part of a great accountability group. How do I join the group? I searched for 'binge' but couldn't find it.
  • Completed W6D2 of C25K today
  • Aaaaand not every post on the motivation board is motivational. OP, I'd like to be your friend. I have more than 20 to lose, but I'm also looking for people to check in with on a regular basis. I'm active in the binge war as well. Lost a battle with pizza this evening, but still fighting. :)
  • I'm relatively new here, joined a while ago, but just started consistently using the site a few weeks ago. I share your feelings of inadequacy, confusion, and self-doubt, but I'm slowly learning that healthy decisions and small steps/choices in the right direction will give you positive feelings about yourself and your…
  • I have a new mantra that so far has helped me with everything from pushing through the end of a running stretch to saying no to that bag of peanut m&ms mocking me on the shelf. It's "play the tape through". What it means is, envision what will happen if I do it or don't do it. What will I feel like? Will I feel proud? Will…
  • I'll count daily walks with doggy and I'm starting Week 6 of C25K next week, so I think a realistic goal for January is 50 miles. Testing out my ticker below - thanks for the easy instructions!
  • I'd love to be your friend. I have 60# to lose also, but it took me at least 3-4 years to put the weight on, so if it comes off in that time, then great. With that said, I am shooting for a 2# loss per week. This perspective is so helpful. It's a good reminder to be patient and set realistic expectations. I have to…
  • This is often the reel that loops in my head. Maybe I used to carry it well, but those days have long passed. Glad to have found this supportive community.
  • Here's the link the couch-to-5k program I'm following: http://www.c25k.com/ Im on Week 5 and loving it so far. I can't wait to be able to run 3 miles without stopping!!
