Hi hun. This is a REALLY old thread (from my first baby in 2011). But I also just had another baby in April and finally got back on track today. I am also exclusively breastfeeding. I have the hardest time losing weight while nursing because 1) I'm HUNGRY and 2) the hormones seem to make my body hoard fat somehow. Track…

Talk to your doctor. My OB approves REASONABLE and HEALTHY weight loss for obese patients. She doesn't want us to lose a lot of weight, but was pleased with my goal of 10-15 pounds (which I'm not attaining because I can't seem to get my butt in gear, but I have gained 4 pounds at 20 weeks which I'm okay with) and my plan…

You look fantastic! I was about 275 at my highest. I don't have a picture from that time. But this one's from about 265 to 195. Then I gained too much (40lbs) with my 1st pregnancy and didn't lose any of it before becoming pregnant with #2 (a year after #1 was born). Bah! Currently just trying to keep my pregnancy gain at…

I wonder if you can just warn them that you're prone to feeling lightheaded and bring a soda and a wet washcloth or something with you (if that would help). Sorry to the OP for getting off track. :flowerforyou:

Yep, take a test. If you're having symptoms, your HCG level should be high enough to register on a test. After losing 80 pounds, I missed a period. I had NEVER missed one before. I had all kinds of symptoms (sore boobs, nausea, fatigue) but every pregnancy test I took (and I took one every day) was negative. My period…

I can't believe you actually get banned for fainting! I was VERY close to fainting but not banned. I mean, they flipped my chair upside down and brought me a soda and a bunch of wet towels when I said I was feeling very lightheaded. I guess they just want you to say something before you faint if you can so they can try to…

I have always been TERRIFIED at the thought of donating blood. I donated for the first time a few weeks ago. I'll do it again for sure. A MFP friend of mine lost her 6 month old son to a CHD a few months ago and that's what got me started. Next time I'll just warn them ahead of time that I'm a fainter. :blushing:  I…

Ha, we say "spick-it" for spigot in SC, too. But I would only call something a spigot if it was outside... weird. For instance, I connect my garden hose to a spigot to water my vegetable and herb garden.

Pooch means dog here in the US, too. It's um... not a literal phrase.

I'm in the southeastern US (South Carolina). Rotary? We call 'em roundabouts here (I agree wtih skinnybearlyn - good luck to you if you are approaching a roundabout in the SE US because they're so few and far between here that people have absolutely no idea what to do. It's a mess.). I agree that the terms "faucet" and…

I'm 5'4" and at my lowest, right before I got pregnant, I was 191. I ate about 1600-1700 calories a day and exercised moderately several times a week (at that time, I was eating those calories straight so I wasn't eating back my exercise calories. Because I was eating that much, I was creating most of my "deficit" with…

I'm in the Earlewood/North Main area. I lost 80 pounds before getting pregnant and now I'm struggling to lose the 40 pounds I gained with pregnancy (my baby is... um.. almost 9 months now.). Maybe some of us could have a regular canal walk date to walk/jog? I'm also a member of the downtown YMCA.

Awesome job! Go *kitten*!

I lost 80 pounds before I got pregnant with our first child. When I was at my lowest weight ever (I was still a size 12/14), my husband began saying things like "Don't lose all of your butt" (trust me when I say my *kitten* is HUGE. I'm always an hourglass shape regardless of my size). I gained 40 pounds with pregnancy and…

So, so, so, so slammed at work right now. Didn't want you ladies to think I was AWOL.

Melinda, yikes!! I'm afraid my husband is going to do the same thing to the greyhound that always picks fights and doesn't listen well.

Hi snowflakes! Good to see you! Welcome back!

I also forgot to weigh in. Mornings are nuts for me right now trying to get back in the swing of getting to work but now with a whooollleee lot more I have to do before I leave the house. :ohwell: Saturdays may have to be my day from now on. We'll see how next week goes.

I always want to honk & yell encouragement when I see bigger people jogging. But I know if they're anything like me, they'll think I'm being a mean sarcastic b**** and I'm really making fun of them so I never do.

Momma-- scrubbing walls is an excellent workout! Your arms will be jello for days after. I learned that the hard way while nesting this summer.

Momma -- Thankfully my nursing pads have been doing their jobs. :blushing: Heather -- Great job fitting a run in despite limited time! Deb -- So glad you got semi-good news about your knees! I hope the stretches help you feel better. I'm not enjoying being back at work at all. I'm feeling a bit like a negative Nancy today…

Wow, a "your" instead of a "you're" and I just now caught it. Now I know why physically fit people often come across as not-so-bright. They're not dumb, just braindead from getting up before 6am to go to the gym. Momma, today is my first day back. I cried this morning but then felt like I was going to be ok until I…

OMG Melinda, really? Your going to bring up Steak N Shake on a Monday morning? Thank goodness the one here closed. I went to bed at 11.30. Baby woke me up at 4. I went back to sleep for an hour and then I pulled my fat *kitten* out of bed and went to the gym. Woot!

Teresa -- I LOVE the name Henry Scott! I've loved the name Henry for a long time & dh is Scott.

Hi ladies! I'm just enjoying my last little bit of maternity leave before having to go back to work next week. I'm very bummed and anxious about it. Hubby and I are desperately trying to come up with a way for me to stay home with baby and for him to go back to school full-time. Yeah, pretty unrealistic so we'll settle for…

I would like to lose 50-60lbs by October 1, 2012.

Great job last week, Sherry and Deb! I was only down .2 from 2 weeks ago after having been down kuch more earlier in the week to a new post prego low. So I sulked instead of posting my pitiful results. Welcome back, Ann!

When I was pregnant, my left boob produced way more colostrum (my boobs started leaking when I was like 16 weeks pregnant). Now my right boob produces like 2x more milk than my left. And despite producing colostrum so early in pregnancy, I have a super low milk supply (I have to supplement 50%). Very weird.

I *MAY* be able to do the 1/2 marathon with you guys!! Williamsburg is a driveable distance for me, especially since FIL lives about 2 hours away, my best friend lives 3 hours away. I can't register yet because I don't know when BIL's wedding in California will be. Last I heard, May was the month. Really we have to wait…

Happy birthday Sherry! I'm up a pound from 2 weeks ago. I had a monster workout at the gym yesterday and I had Taco Bell for lunch so I'm actually really happy about only being up a pound.
