  • Good luck, Christina! I'm back again after being in a slump for a while but summer's coming so I'm motivated again too!
  • I just read this article on Yahoo! Great advice that we (women) should start incorporating!
  • untamed heart - 158 as of this morning
  • If you can get a good Cobb salad with a balsamic vinaigrette, that might work as meal because most places make them pretty big. Choose healthy proteins like grilled chicken or fish and opt for veggies instead of potatoes or rice. I like places with salad bars if you can find them, that way you can pick your lettuce and…
  • Well...I haven't made much progress so far but I'm not completely saying screw it...I think I'm going to fill up on meat and veggies instead of so much carbs. I am going to indulge in one slice of my oh-so-awesome pumpkin cheesecake =)
  • Not quite accurate for me because my most used foods are ones that i haven't eaten in a while...don't ask me why BUT mine are : cheez-it, hardboiled egg - whites only, jello sugar free creme brulee pudding
  • This is a fantastic difference! You can definitely tell in your hiking picture that you've lost weight...way to go! Keep up the great work!
  • Welcome! Ask any questions you want, everyone is so helpful and supportive here!
  • Your weight is going to vary from day to day depending on how much water you are retaining. Keep your sodium intake low and drink lots of water to flush your system. It never fails; i'll be one weight Friday and gain at least a pound over the weekend because i'm not as strict even though i need to be.
  • I am all about the plank ab exercises; they are hard when you first start but once they become easy, there are modifications that you add that make you feel like you're starting all over. They are fantastic to work your whole core area. plenty of cardio never hurts either. Not sure about the neck issue, but I would look…
  • My boobs are the first place I lose weight! It sucks!
  • Keep going and you'll get there! I've been working out for 2 months and tracking my food nearly a month and I've only lost 3 pounds...granted I've had more 'bad' days than you have but at least keeping track, I know where I've messed up and it makes me re-evaluate my progress. Remember, working out builds muscle which…
  • Also, don't add in your exercise until the end of the day. For some reason MFP will give you the extra calories you burned working out but then tell you that you rick going into starvation mode. Get as close to your 1200-1300 calorie goal as you can, just watch your fat and sugars the most. Additional protein will help you…
  • That's my favorite, I use it all the time!
  • The same thing happened to my boyfriend! He weighed himself, took a shower and then weighed himself again and was over a pound heavier, then he got dressed a weighed himself and he was 2 pounds lighter! That's what I get for buying a cheap scale at Walmart!
  • Plank exercises for your abs are great too!! That with some regular ab workouts and cardio will help to build your core muscles
  • eat more protein! it helps to make you feel full without being detrimental to your diet. When i get a craving for something sweet I have some jello snacks in my fridge that are sugar free, low fat and lo calorie...creme brulee is the best so far
  • My boyfriend and I have been going to the gym for 2 months while I watch what I eat and he eats whatever he wants: He's lost 10lbs and I've only lost 3lbs...from a female standpoint that is VERY disconcerting. But I know that I'll eventually get there and I have a female friend that I work out with instead of him which…
  • You can actually make your own peanut butter from peanut flour, it's really easy, REALLY good and even better for you than any low fat peanut butter I've been able to find AND 1/4 cup is considered a serving: 110 calories, 4g fat, 0g sodium, 2g sugar, 16g protein
  • I'm not a doctor or trainer but I get them too and I get really blotchy on my legs and arms...I think a lot of it has to do with the increased blood flow so when you scratch, it's more noticeable, but again I'm not a professional..that's just my 2 cents :)
  • EAS is also really good and they don't taste too bad plus it's pretty cheap at Sam's Club and Costco
  • I was the type of person that ALWAYS drank anything BUT water, but eventually I got used to it. Don't think about trying to get 8 glasses of water in the first day, just try to incorporate 1 glass first and work your way up to it. I started with drinking a glass to take my vitamins in the morning instead of milk or juice…
  • Am I too late to join in? I have a total of 25lbs I want to lose overall for if I can do 20 by Xmas I'll be thrilled! I just got on here a couple of days ago. Tracking my food is hard but I'm putting it all in there even if I've gone over :)
