Just following up. But first, thank you everyone for your replies! It is so nice to have this community! I am still holding steady around 192-194. I've definitely lost some momentum. I don't feel like I've been as serious about tracking my food and staying within my calorie/carb limits. I'm going to try to get back on…

Lol! Thanks! I am on day 19 of my (approximately) 25 day cycle. My TOM is due in about 8 days. I guess that puts me at about the tail end of my ovulation. At what point in a lady's cycle do most of us gain weight?

Thank you everyone for your replies. I have opened my diary for public viewing. I've been pretty serious about logging my food with the correct ingredients and servings. I think weighing my food might be a good idea. Malibu927: What is TOM? Nuke_64: Can you elaborate? I have heard what raellehousek wrote about many times.…

Weighing myself and seeing that I weighed more than 200 pounds was my wake up call.

1500 calories Carbs: 25% Fat: 25% Protein: 50% I struggle to get enough protein even though I eat a lot of meat. I am trying to lose weight and have a sustainable 'diet'.

@haileycram Oh pumpkin! Been there, still am. You are in good company. Have your heard that sugar is more addictive than Cocaine? I'm not really sure if it's true but I don't care.... sugar addiction is tough! My advice is to start small. Eat normally for a few days or a week and record everything you eat in myfitnesspal.…

I am doing low-carb. I bring ....* Cheese snacks (like those individually wrapped string cheese but I like colbyjack, mozzarella pearls or Cabot cheddar) * Hard boiled eggs * Almonds (I roast them myself with just a pinch of salt - 350 oven for 12 minutes) * Coffee with 2 tbs of half/half (no sugar) Sometimes I'll have…

Quick question for everyone: When you count your daily carbs, do you subtract your fiber? I tend not to but my diabetic husband does. What do you do? If at the end of the day you've recorded 95 carbs and 20 units of fiber, do you consider that 75 carbs for the day? I've been having this question a lot at night. What…

I am doing moderate/low carb. I'm doing a <1500 calorie plan with 25-25-50 macros. So my daily goals are Calories: 1500 Carbs: 94 Protein: 188 (I really struggle with this. That just seems like A LOT of protein!) Fat: 42 So far I've been doing really well. Not perfect of course, but I'm still pretty proud. Today is my 25th…

Thanks Ladies. I'm feeling better today. You are all right. I must get rid of the scale. I did not take measurements when I started but I did when I finished Stage 1. I will check them again at the end of Stage 2 and Stage 3. I wanted to quit last night but I'm not going to. Re: Food I tracked everything I ate for all of…

OK, I'm miserable. Hello, nice to meet you! I just started Stage 2 today and I'm feeling really discouraged. I did a great job with stage 1 and have been watching what I eat (80% paleo) since January and I'VE GAINED 10 POUNDS. I feel fat and like this isn't working. I'm just wasting my time and making myself miserable for…

Hi ladies. (Am I posting too much?) As you may know, I'm a girly-girl and I love Disney. I just found these: http://www.sparkleskirts.com/sparkletech/ I see these in my future. I'm going to get myself 1 with a matching headband after I complete the 6 month NRoL4W plan or when I can do 100 push-ups... which ever is first!…

Just finished workout B. Wow! I had a hard time with the lunges but rocked the swiss ball crunches. I'm going to be sore tomorrow. Good night all. Sierra ETA: I had some almonds on the car ride home and a cup of leftover sweet potatoes with sausage before lifting. Thanks everyone!

I'm starving. I'll be home in about an hour. Should I lift first or eat first? Either way I'll have my protein smoothie after I lift.

I am printing out some training logs for Stage 1. Am I correct in that we are supposed to do Stage 1 - Workouts A and B (alternating) 8 times each? This would be 16 workouts. So Stage 1 is supposed to take just over 5 weeks? I know some people repeat stage 1. Is 5 weeks the 'normal' course or the doubled course? Thanks!…

Good Morning and Happy New Year! I did Stage 1, Day 1 on Monday. I found everything to be a bit harder than I thought it would be. For instance, I did my push-ups inclined, leaning against a window sill. It took me a set to get the balance correct for the prone jackknife. I was a little sore yesterday. Nothing truly…

Thanks Kristen and Martha. I'm in!

I've just updated my profile and added some goals. I have 6 goals that help motivate me: 1. I want upper-arms like Michelle Obama. 2. I want to weigh under 150 lbs. 3. I want to be flexible. 4. I want to be able to do 100 push-ups, 200 sit-ups, and 25 pull-ups. My record, set this summer after a couple weeks of training,…

It would be great if we had a group. Is everyone starting on New Year's day or tomorrow (Monday)? I was thinking of starting tomorrow so I can be on a MWF schedule. I wish I was looking forward to it, but I'm not. It seems like so much WORK! I get discouraged easily. Well, I made an excellent protein shake that I can have…

Since my last post I've had a week long migraine and a 10-day long (and counting) respiratory virus. So, yeah.... I haven't started the NROL4W plan yet. I'm going to start with you ladies on the new year. DH got me some pink lifting gloves, a medicine ball and some protein powder for Christmas. He is very supportive. I'm…

Hi Kristen, I'm just starting too. DH and I recently turned our deck into a 3-season room and are outfitting it as a home gym. I am reading NROWL4W right now and will start in the next couple of weeks. Maybe even tomorrow if I read enough tonight. for equipment I have dumbbells, an olympic bar w/ weights, a balance ball…
