what do you mean by “less” and “more”?
-
are you weighing, measuring and logging your food, counting to a specific goal per day?
-
Sounds like 1900 plus exercise is your maintenance! I am 41, 133 lb and my maintenance is 1600 without exercise 😭😭

Are you too hungry to sleep?

I love the idea to make your own junk food. You can make little pizzas with countable calories at home. I love making slider burgers. On what you are cooking… can you add more flavor? Or a relatively low cal sauce like marinara? For chicken you could use canned coconut milk, curry paste and chicken broth to make a curry…

I also tend to not understand the need for other peoples help. However, I grew up an athlete. So when I need to cut weight, I am returning to something familiar. I associate fitness with strength, relative success, pride. For many people that’s just not the case

How did you prepare the chicken and asparagus? Any oils to add? Did you weigh the chicken, tzatziki and cream cheese on a food scale or eyeball? (Could possibly mean you are eating a little bit more than you think.) If it continues, I would consider adding a few servings of fruit to bolster the calories but not make you…

That was a lot of questions! 1. i am a bit confused by your aim for fat burning mode when you move. let go of that and just burn calories. 2. what kind of equipment did you “put together yourself” and how is it not allowing you to raise your heart rate? 3. when you say you leisurely walk for four hours… is this four hours…

what is causing the sciatica? where’s the pinch?

This! I am 41 and can drop weight when I need to as always. But I cannot work out as intensely as before due to pain here and there—hip, knees. So I have been reworking what fitness looks like. Way more functional strength training. No more running.
-
My thought is perhaps your general movement throughout the day has decreased leading to needing fewer calories than before?
-
2-3x per week I do a video at home, primarily functional strength training (some intervals, maybe a plyo, a little HIIT). Videos average 40 min. I go to the gym twice a week for weights. I have significantly lessened my cardio (to 20 min per gym session). Provided I am eating within my limits this works for me fine. Cardio…

The good news is you can shed weight through calorie counting without needing to exercise. Get thee a digital food scale!
-
Have you seen a GI doctor and allergist about your belief that foods are triggering symptoms? You shouldn’t cut so many things out entirely without working with a medical professional. Get some tests done.
-
Do you mean you entered your own recipe and got a calorie total? Or do you mean you looked up entries for things like “homemade lasagna” or “chicken salad”? If the latter, I wouldn’t trust or use it at all because there’s no way to know what ingredients and portion of ingredients were used.

Can you pre eat the extra calories you are going to earn back via the workout?
-
In 6 weeks?
-
How many calories are you eating each day?
-
1. shred chicken breast in crock pot with fajita seasoning, salsa, and chicken breast 2. make taco bowls using chicken, cilantro lime rice, avocado, cilantro, black beans

I am also doing 5 vanity pounds. I am not weighing myself often (twice a month) because my deficit is fairly small (200-300 cals) but I am doing some HIIT training via videos at home and lifting weights a few times a week. For me it’s not about the scale so much as two specific pair of pants I want to wear again. It’s…
-
About twice a month skipping specific days related to menstrual cycle that naturally makes the scale go up

i second mini ice cream bars. you can find them at about 100 cals. dove makes mini chocolate covered ice creams that are 60 cals each.

If I ate the same calories for 2 days is there a chance I can still loose weight Or do I have to something different
When you enter your current weight and desired weight into the app, how many calories does MFP ask you to eat each day? Eat that much. And give it time. LOTS of time. You may even…

lower body strength intervals (alternating strength moved with bursts of cardio), 25 min. then a one mile brisk walk.

Do you buy your shoes a little big? I do because my feet swell a little when I run.
-
MFP has given you a goal for weight loss. The importance of eating them all depends on: how low the daily calorie allowance is and how quickly you have asked to lose weight (3 lb week, half lb week, etc). The general rule of thumb is to eat all the calories you are allotted. You earn “back” more calories when you exercise…

70 calories of semisweet chocolate chips

Have you inputted a lower weight than day 1? If so then it’s correct, you haven’t made “progress” yet but that doesn’t mean you are doing anything wrong!
-
that makes sense, thanks

Think about it this way: if you gained 30 lb in 3 years, you are eating about 100 calories too much per day.
