I recently hiked out west, about 10-15 miles a day, and I used my apple watch to track then just decided to eat well for the sake of not getting hurt or sleeping poorly. I firmed my counting back up when I got home. I hadn’t gained or lost.

Then don’t argue with him. Let him believe what he wants. Just worry about yourself. My husband and I have different views on medication. I try to avoid it and he’s a pharmacist. We have had talks about it intentionally over our 20 yr marriage to better understand each other but stopped trying to convince each other of…

Not loving your quiz there! Questions are too extreme. Grocery prices in the U.S. right now are a nightmare. It’s bad. Each of our thoughts on this matter will be influenced by where we live, income, and what we prefer to eat. You can do a lot with a bag of rice, chicken breast shredded in the slow cooker, and some roasted…

Neither of these are necessary. How many calories per day does MFP give you in order to reach your goals? The first step is learning how to count calories using a digital food scale and get used to accurately tracking your food. Then start moving towards the calorie goal MFP gave you.

Pre log your food for the day. When you want to reach for food, look at what’s next in the app. Are you willing to eat that at this time of day, knowing you need to make it last? If not, wait!

There’s some shocking research about muscle mass lost per day / week in a sedentary hospital setting! Be patient with yourself. A nurse friend told me that’s why it’s essential to request physical therapy for elderly patients immediately. (Just a fun fact — not assuming your age.)

Tip 1: acknowledge it won’t be fast If you eat so little that it actually is fast, you’re shedding a lot of muscle with the fat.

canned chickpeas. drain them and season with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder. bake until crispy. put on salad.

veggie WITH bread, no cheese. i ask for one small stripe of a low cal sauce/dressing on it. don’t get the wraps. they aren’t fewer calories

Are you saying your weight has stayed the same for the past three days?

My feet swell a little when I exercise and I buy my shoes half a size big. My feet would hurt some before I did that but mostly they tingled.

I used to get close to 200 when at Orange Theory and while at optimal health / weight. My doctor wasn’t concerned. I was basically sprinting uphill.

Nope. If you only ate the meat, you could assume it’s the highest calorie beef like 80/20 chuck and ask how many ounces it was.

i use an app called fiton and just workout in front of my tv. i LOVED the gym for several decades but started to feel like: 1. i was spending just as much time driving to and from as i was exercising 2. i was spending too much time waiting on equipment 3. i was nursing chronic hip pain and kept lifting too heavy, ended up…

What if your first goal was just to get accustomed to weighing, measuring, and logging your food? Then from there you can start working on bringing the calories down.

not everyone will agree with with me, but I find the counting calories allows me to eat more than I think I can while still losing weight. If I tried to eyeball, I would undereat and be filled with guilt and uncertainty all the time.

Symptoms, yes. Bloodwork to back up actual numerical changes, didn’t show anything. I’m a healthy weight but my maintenance calories are around 1650. I do a lot of walking and functional strength training. I think hard work and discipline now will make a huge difference in the decades to come. Exercise helps the shifts in…

Does the doctor think your weight is appropriate considering your height?

What’s your daily calorie intake? The last few lbs can feel like a beast when you are already small. I’m about to try to cut from 130 to 125 but not sure if it’s necessary. Just a few vanity lbs.

measure the serving i’ve logged. eat all of it. don’t get seconds. drink a glass of water.
-
Also, try to do something others-focused. When I get all consumed by my body and eating, I have slipped into a very self centered season. Volunteer somewhere to move your mind onto others and their needs.
-
I think you need smaller goals. What if for now you just tried to make it two weeks with meeting your goal each day? It gets easier the more success you experience, in my opinion, so why not let the two week mark be your first success?

What else are you passionate about? May need a new hobby! Get some sort of competing interest.

At your age, I’d make an appt with your pediatrician for some good first steps!
-
pre make some rice, veggies, shredded chicken, black beans, salsa and put a serving in each one for the week

Any sort of bar like that in my opinion is for a mega hike situation. Not for breakfast or snack, etc. They are too close to a candy bar.

I sit at work and go with sedentary then log all my exercise to eat back
