Let's think about TODAY. Today "it doesn't matter how hard you worked or how you didn't work yesterday". Today is today.
-
Definitely 30 Day Shred, Body Revolution, 6 weeks 6 Pack - all by Jillian Michaels.
-
This sounds like a very difficult struggle. MFP is a great thing that teaches you to be mindful of what you're doing and I'm glad we are trying to learn. You lost 15 pounds, that's amazing. Keep it up!!!

Thanks for sharing. it sounds that a lot of parents struggled with cooking at that time. But it's changing now. Good luck with your weight loss battle and let us know how things go.
-
Yeah, that's hard.
-
Yeah, I feel for ya. My friend was a scout boy and got used to the amount of calorie burning exercises they did when they went hiking for days. He started gaining when he graduated because he was still on his scout mode. But you lost a lot of weight, keep up the good work!

Good that NB and Russel Athletic (never heard of that) suit you. Yeah, shoes are very important, I hope you got a nice pair. Gambaro! ("do your best and don't give up" in Japanese) :)

Bra size is another challenge for foreigners in Japan ;) I ordered XL from the US, thinking it would the same XL I bought here in the Nike store. Haha, now I have two GIANT bras I don't ever want to wear :) Good motivation, right?
-
Never heard of that one. Will google it. PS. 18 kg - you rock, girl!
-
I love DRI-FIT, too!
-
No, bibimbap is a different story :) I love it, but never bothered to learn how to cook it. Maybe I will one day ;)
-
Good job! Keep it up! Or I should probably say keep it down ;)
-
Just posted a bunch of recipes with cal info here. Check them out and let me know if you have any questions. PS. I am trying to get fit, too. We're on the same boat :)

It's good that you are trying not to drink it. To be honest, I never understood soda, coke and all those sweet soft drinks addictions. It makes me thirsty and bloated and in restaurants it literally makes me order and eat more food (that's what they loooove doing - make coke or salty snacks cheap or free - get more orders…

Good job, man! I liked the "Oh crap, you are Michael" ;)
-
My approach is - ok, you screwed up once, move on. Learn that lesson and keep up the good work. You've been losing and you look and feel better now, right? That matters.

WOW!

I'm a newbie, how do you guys post pictures here? Found a picture of my steamed yams and wanted to share.
-
I usually cut yams and regular white potato into 2 cm slices and steam them together in a rice cooker. Then I add a tiny amount of butter and eat it as a nice side dish - with brown rice and grilled fish. Rice has this nice neutral taste, grilled fish is a bit salty, so yams add some sweetness to it. It's very Japanese -…

Calms me down. But just like any other tea it contains caffeine, so it should be avoided before bed time and you should try to not to drink too much of it. My approach: only whole leaves and no tea bags, wait 1-2 mins until it's very very light green color.

Me too!

Thai food is amazing! Loved hot soups and fruits there! Turkish food - aaawww, love it! Cacik and hummus are my favorite!

Japan is so cool! Hope you can visit one day. Yes, they do that all the time - a box of wonderful pink peaches or apples or tangerines that can easily be $100. Before I moved here I hadn't really been into the idea of giving food as a present. I've changed my mind now. Japan is tiny and so are their houses, it's just more…

Da Machine!!! Unbelievable! You look amazing! Congratulations on your life style change! Go man!

I am not sure about the 1,000 cal/day estimate. Are you certain that that's what you burn? Did you ask a trainer to help you count the burnt calories? I'm not trying to be suspicious, it's just a little bit questionable. I was taught you burn around 250 cals doing a very fast run for 45-60 mins. You burn around 300-400…

I've completed Day 3 level 1, but I also tried Level 2 yesterday, just out of curiosity. It was tough, but at the same time it was still doable. I'll push myself and do 2 workouts everyday when I can. I'm also on MFP everyday with my 1300 calories limit. We'll see what happens. After all, Jillian is right - it's not gonna…

Good job! Keep it up! I've started it couple of days ago and we'll see how it will work on me. Cheers!

Japan, Kansai area. How are you doing, guys?

Hi, I've been a pescatarian for 6 years or so. Veggies and fruit are 60-70% of my daily intake, 10% goes to fish a seafood (meaning a piece or a small bowl once a day and not everyday), 10% nuts, seeds, grains and 10% other. Roughly. I find it really easy to cook and I know couple of fast-n-easy recipes that always please…

Hi there! It seems that you've been very consistent with your exercise, but how well do you know calories? If you were asked how many calories are in an apple, a muffin, a macaroni and cheese, an avocado, a cup of yoghurt, 100 gr grilled chicken etc - would you instantly know? Can you also estimate the weight of cooked…
