  • I am in my 4th week of the 30DS...I'm on Level 3, and I'm doing it about five days per week. I didn't measure myself, but I have lost 8.2 pounds...and I just started at 133.2 pounds. There are two keys to making it successful, in my opinion: 1) Work VERY hard at it! I have given a LOT of effort on all but a couple of days…
  • I would drink a glass of milk and go to bed!!!
  • Nice! Good Job!!! Congratulations!!!
  • My first thought was, "English must not be their first language!"
  • This is pretty much me too! I was up to drinking 4-5 cups a day (which is good for me,) and then I joined a challenge group on here that rewards you for 8+ cups/day. Soooo, I've upped my intake to 9 cups and I feel like an overblown balloon!!! (in addition to the bathroom issue!)
  • Oh, and actually, (at least for me) it's pronounced "Deddy!"
  • Oh heavens! I'm 42, and I call my daddy "Daddy!" I always have! Was I supposed to change what I called him when I turned 21? Nobody told *me*!!! :) Oh, and I haven't lived with him since I was 19!
  • Jillian's 30 Day Shred, a walk/run program, and serious portion control seem to be working for me! (I measured out TWO CUPS of popcorn for myself last night! :O ...we pop in lard and butter (YUM) and normally, I would eat 16-18-20 cups!) Pam
  • If there's still room, I'm interested too...sending PM...thanks!
  • Hey! I ended up missing yesterday, so now I'm right with you! (Today is Day3 Level2!) I haven't done any before pictures - I *hate* the thought of that! I'm glad you did, though! :) Surely you'll see a big difference...this workout is accomplishing something - we can FEEL it! I sent you a friend request!
  • I respect the fact that some people's experiences/opinions are different than mine, but for *me* - On Sunday, I ate more than usual and pretty bad - animal crackers, cheez-its, tortilla chips, sun chips...So on Monday, I had four cups of milk and an apple (plus my coffee) all day - that's it. In my estimation, the low…
  • Slice a medium tomato...makes a dinner plate full! Add salt and pepper, and top with the white albacore tuna (flaked,) then more salt and pepper and banana pepper rings. My daughter suggested that I drizzle with some olive oil, but I think it's really good w/o it, and I usually already have enough good fat in my diet!…
  • Soooo, in theory, would it work to strength-train *while* restricting calories, in order to preserve the muscle? ...and have the majority of the calories consumed be protein?
  • I have a question regarding the debate between eating more and eating less to lose weight... Please understand, I don't wish to stir up a debate...as you can see from my ticker, I wouldn't be qualified to argue for either side. So, my question is completely sincere. (I'm trying to be clear about that since tone is nearly…
  • OK, I did Level 2 today! I read somewhere online that it was much harder...I didn't think so! I mean, it's definitely HARD, but (to me) no more so than Level 1 - just different. I'm glad I went ahead and tried it...I think you should too! :) I don't know if I'm seeing *enough* improvement...I guess I really don't know what…
  • My first thought was, "Well, there's a brutally honest guy!"
  • I record it as "Curves Circuit Training" just because the calories burned were lower than some other choices, and I didn't want to over-estimate my burn. Pam
  • Well, that's terrible news!
  • It's only temporary!!! If you're anything like me, I wanted to be at my goal *yesterday,* but let's just keep at it! I will pray for a speedy recovery and lots of happiness! :) Pam
  • OK, I weighed this morning, and I'm down 2.2 pounds!!! My crazy ticker is only showing 'one' because I had gained a pound on vacation before this started. Personally, I think the ticker should go backwards if I go backwards...that's just honest! 'Cause now seeing just a '1lb lost' on there really takes the wind out of my…
  • I started my Shred last Tuesday, so I'm going to weigh in the morning...I'll be back here then to report. Wish me luck!
  • Day 4 today...it must be too soon for improved endurance, because this is still tough! Today, I used the 3lb weights for the first set of squats, then swapped for the 1lb! Also, on those side lunges, I used the ones. I was pressed for time today, so I'm proud of myself for still making sure I got this workout in!
  • I started with one-pound weights, just because I had them handy. Then on Day3, my son gave me his three-pounders...OH MY WORD, was that ever a huge difference! I'm going to stick with the threes, but they are tough...it will be a while before I could even think about moving up!
  • Very Good!!! That 31.9 made a big difference! Congratulations!
  • Day3 for me today...it went better than yesterday. It's my thighs that are most sore!
  • I just weighed this morning after a two-week vacation. :( My starting weight is 133.2. I'll post it on Mondays in the future...
  • Well, I said it in the other thread, but today was Day2 for me, and I found it a lot harder than Day1! (probably 'cause I'm so sore!) I *did* finish, though...but I had to stop maybe one push-up short; they are TOUGH to me! I really can't believe how weak and out-of-shape I am, but... I'M WORKING ON IT!!!
  • Thanks! But, wow, I still can't believe there are no rest days! Am I just a big wimp or what?!!! Today was the second day for me, and I thought it was harder than day one! I am soooo sore!
  • Hey everybody! I'm Pam, and I was soooo happy to find this group! I just started the 30DS yesterday (I'm doing it on YouTube.) I am so sore! As of this morning, I weigh 133.2; my goal is somewhere around 110 - I'm only 5'1". I am also doing some walking in order to build up to running...I did that last fall/winter for the…
