Being a grad of Insanity by itself and a hybrid with Insanity and Pump, the most significant results are going to be seen in Month 2. There may be some weight and measurement differences in Month 1, but 2 is where you get the dramatic results.

You'll have a blast doing it, I'm sure. I've completed both the Pump and Combat programs seperately. Haven't done a hybrid of them. My hybrid was Pump and Insanity. I'll be interested in what you think of Pump/Combat.

My opinion only: For definition, I would look more at Pump or P90X than Insanity. Insanity is about 95% cardio with some body weight resistance training in it. This.. If he doesn't miss more than a few days of one week, I don't see where backing up 3 weeks is going to help. 1 maybe, but not 3. Month 1 is really getting you ready so you don't die in Month two. :) So, I do agree that skipping too much would not be a good thing.

As much as I hurt, it BETTER be transforming. :) There are 6 different workouts for the "Build" phase.. "Chest and Tris," "Legs," "Back and Bis," "Shoulders," "Abs" and "Cardio" Abs and Cardio are done the same day. The cardio routine is no joke, but it's quick.
