  • First thing is to get a heart rate monitor. It will let you know your calorie burn for the time using your own measurments and heartrate. Then, like Marie says, create your own exercises for your journal and you can use them from then on. I have ones created for all my programs..
  • Boston (Don't Look Back Tour) and some dude we knew nothing about named Sammy Hagar opened for them.. November, 1979.
  • Yes. My 46 year old sister, and only sibling, died back in September after an 11 year battle with breast cancer. I would give ANYTHING to see her next Wednesday morning.
  • I see you have found resolve and congrats on that.. This is something I tell my folks: You don't bust your *kitten* as hard as you do when you excersise every day and watch your intake so you can deprive yourself of certain things in life. You do all that so you can partake in those things (in moderation) and not feel…
  • dalehall64 My IG is all over the place. Fitness, travels, family, hobbies, and whatever else floats my boat at the particular moment. No one will ever accuse me of being single minded. :) You follow me, I follow you. I always love seeing how others are enjoying life.
  • Body Beast is an awesome program!! I did Les Mills Pump first to get a taste of weights, so I have never lifted in my life. Then I moved to Body Beast and really liked it.. Please note though: It is VERY equipment intense. You need a wide variety of dumbbells, a bench (or stability ball), a chin-up bar (or bands) and a…
  • I promise you, you won't regret getting Combat. LMC is what I consider my "soulmate" program. Loved it!! And, even though my nutrition wasn't exactly spot on, I still got great results from it. I'm starting my P90X Challenge Group on Monday and after we finish in December, I'll do Combat again for the New Year.
  • If you want a good well rounded program, I will always point people at "Les Mills Combat." I got some great results from it and it's not just cardio based. There is some weight training involved also. I have done Insanity, Les Mills Pump, Combat, Body Beast and I just finished T25. Unfortunately, because my nutrion wasn't…
  • I have. It's a good program if you are just starting out or, like I was, recovering from an injury or surgery. But, if you are in full workout mode and hitting something like Insanity, T25, P90X, etc, you don't need 10MT, IMO.
  • Remember, ShakeO is a meal replacement, not an E&E drink. My pre-workout drink is Muscle Pharm Assault. Beachbody's E&E (Energy and Endurance) mix would work also. If you have a Vitamin Shoppe or something close, go there and look for "Pre-Workout" drinks. That's how I ended up with my Muscle Pharm.
  • 2 days of Beta are complete. I had to change my workout routine from mornings to evenings, so I haven't done today's yet. (Rip't Circuit) So far, I've done Core Cardio and Speed 2.0. First off: Holy crap!!! Core cardio is good. Speed 2.0 is INSANE!! ZERO warm up in either of them. He starts you off going hard and you don't…

  • Sorry just noticed your question., I did the "Ultimate Warrior" schedule. Never missed a day and got great results. I was at a plateau when I started Combat. I had just finished a Les Mills Pump/Insanity hybrid. I broke through it and actually got below my goal weight before the 60 days were up. I still love that program.…
  • I do like most and I use a HRM to track my burn and then I create my own exercises with the exact name of the routines (T25 - Alpha Total Body w/ cool down for example) Much easier to compare burn of this week to week 1 or Beta routines to Alpha routines when I hit that phase next week. But, to even get a decent estimate…

  • No problem Pure Cardio is the quickest of the routines. (Only 36 minutes) so it's pretty easy to double up on that day. (If you have it in you) I started my fitness journey off with Insanity and I still do a few of the routines if I need a break from whatever program I am doing. That's what's great about owning all these…
  • My wife I do peanut butter toast. (PB2 if you are watching calories) Great protein/carb boost for the energy.
  • Good Morning Mandy.. Not many people use this forum any more, but I still check in from time to time, so I just saw your message.. Have you gone through the nutrition guide for Combat? It will help you figure out what your calorie intake should be. Most of us, when we started Combat, actually had to up our caloric intake…
  • Yes, it's the same thing. If you put in DVD 5, you'll see if has two different routines (Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs) that you can choose from on the disc. Glad you are enjoying it. It's an awesome program!
  • 24 days in for me. Another week and a half and I'll be hitting Beta Phase. I haven't pre-watched any of the routines, so I have no idea what's in store. The only thing I do know is, it's tougher than Alpha so it's going to be INTENSE! Whoo-hoo!

  • I just posted this in my challenge group this morning. People LOVE this program because it is only 25 minutes. One thing you need to realize is that is ONLY 25 minutes. You are not going to get 1-2 hours worth of results in only 25 minutes. You can results from this program, but your nutrition has to be spot on. My…

  • Pre-ordered last October, started in December and finished it in February. BY FAR, the BEST program I've completed!! Got great results and I even have the t-shirt to show for it.. I've completed one other program since then and I'm doing T25 now. Combat is still my "soulmate" program. Enjoy it. It is a BLAST!!!
  • Shaun T has to walk around. He's talking during the entire thing. We are doing nothing but huffing and puffing and he's carrying on a conversation. It's funny that everyone is annoyed by Tania in Insanity. When you move on to Focus T25, Tania is your best friend in that program. And, yes he favors her. That's his BFF and…
  • Reverse flys. I had surgery on my spine and the muscle that attaches across the upper back was removed from my spine and reattached. Since then, reverse flys are almost impossible.
  • I've completed Combat and I'm doing T25 now. If music is your deciding factor, then definitely go with Combat. The Combat routines are designed around and choreographed to the music. In T25, like Insanity or Asylum, the music is background. You have the option to "turn it up" in T25, but the routines aren't choreographed…
  • I had two 4 layer neck fusion surgeries in 13 months. All said and done, I ended up with 1 bracket, 2 rods, 12 clamps and 22 screws in my neck. It took it's toll on me and I gained some weight and ended up being the heaviest I have ever been in my life. The US Military even told me after that second surgery I couldn't do…
  • If you purchase the full "Gamma Package" it's another $120. However, they have the Gamma "DVD Only" package and it's $60. The initial program is listed as a 10 week program and that's the Alpha/Beta phases for $120. Gamma adds another 4 weeks on the original 10 week program. We didn't even know about the Gamma phase until…

  • Just knocked out my first Double Friday. Lower Focus and then Cardio back to back. That was NOT easy. When he got to the second "burn out" in Cardio, with about 5 minutes left overall, I was truly burnt out!! But, I managed to push through it.. Got one heck of a kcal burn today too. I'm really liking this program!! Also,…

  • Although I don't know her situation, I can tell you the big differences in the two progams. The biggest differences in Insanity and T25 are: 1. Time.. 25 minutes routines (T25) versus routines that go anywhere from 36 to 65 minutes (Insanity). However, the 36-65 minute routines do have built in rest periods, the 25 minute…

  • Focus T25 is Shaun T's (Creator of Insanity program) new workout program. It consists of 25 minute cardio based routines you do 5 days a week for 10 weeks. To be totally accurate, you do 1 25 minute routine Mon-Thurs and then you do 2 routines on Fridays with Saturday and Sunday as off days. It's broken into 2 phases.…

  • Total Body is a whale of a workout. I didn't get near as confused on the moves today as I did yesterday, but I had to watch a few to get the "multi-moves" he was doing. Like I have mentioned in my Challenge Group today about this routine: "Lunges, Burpees and Push Ups, Oh My." Squats too, but they didn't fit in the "Wizard…
