  • Day 2 complete. Great program, great workout. However, the moves really throw me right now. Just as I had to learn the moves in Combat, I having to learn these too. I looked very uncoordinated and pretty much drunk this morning during Speed 1.0. I'm going to have to do this one a few more times to get these moves down.…

  • I already get up ay 0400 to do my workouts so I'm not going get up even earlier to eat a meal. So, if I eat anything, it's just a peice of toast with peanut butter. Carbs to burn and not enough to fill me up and hamper my workout. It has really worked for me.
  • Day one in the books for me today. Alpha Cardio. It wasn't easy, but I made it though it. When doing some things with Shaun T, you notice how uncoordinated you can be. LOL.. This is going to be a great program. Challenge Group started today for any others that might interested. Just PM me for details. Dale

  • For the Alpha and Beta phases (the first 10 week program) , it only needs the resistance band that comes with the package. For the Gamma phase (another 4 week phase and another set of DVD's to purchase) you need some weights for it..

  • I have a T-25 Challenge Group starting up this coming Monday (8 July) if anyone is interested. And, NO, you do not have to sign up under me to be part of it. It doesn't matter to me who your coach is, what your upline is or even if you are coach. I just want people that will participate in the Challenge and help the entire…

  • Hey Liz.. Hope you find some folks soon. Most of us that were at the start of this group have completed Combat and moved on to other programs. I will say that Combat is my "soul mate" of prgrams and to this day, I still do the routines when I want some cardio. (I completed it back in Feb 2013) This is one awesome program…
  • From a Military Retiree: Thank you for your service. Any of Shaun T's programs are awesome for cardio. However, they are not for the faint at heart. I started my fitness journey off with Insanity, so it can be done by a complete newbie. You just have to take breaks when you need too and modify where necessary,…
  • My wife and I both get up at 4:00 am. Over the years, we have amassed a pretty good selection of equipment, so we both exercise at the house. She does her thing and I do mine. I'm showered and ready for work by 6:00. She's in the shower by 6:15. The kids get up around 6:30 and I help with them until I leave. By then, she's…
  • You will definitely get fit with Combat! Great program. Which schedule are you following? Most of us di the "Ultimate" with the HIIT's and Upper/Lower Body workouts included. Awesome routines!!
  • Good luck to all of you that are doing Combat. I finished it back in February (got the t-shirt to prove it. LOL) and have moved through Body Beast. Right now, I'm just doing what suits my mood because I'm also waiting for T-25 to come out. To this day, when I want some good cardio, I put in one of the Combat routines.…
  • I purchased a new desktop a few weeks ago with 8 on it. There is a massive learning curve to it, but I'm starting to get the hang of it and I'm liking it pretty good now. Yes, I had to Google quite a few things becuase I couldn't figyure them out on my own and didn't want to watch the included videos. Although, it is…
  • Shaun T saying: "C'mon Y'all, Let's Gooooooooooo!"
  • It is possible.. If you believe it is possible. I started out my journey with Insanity and I was the same way, completely out of shape. I was well into the second week before I could even get through the warm up without taking breaks. 10 months later, I've completed Insanity, an Insanity/Les Mills Pump hybrid, Les Mills…
  • Done it twice. Once by itself, once as a hybrid with Les Mills Pump. I'll be doing it again as a hybrid with P90X in September. Even now, if I need some serious cardio, I'll pop in one of the routines and kill it. It's a freakin' amazing program!! And Shaun T is just an overall great presenter. @iamgonnamakei: Yes. You can…
  • It's really going to depend on what you like. Do you like weight lifting, cardio, dancing, etc? If you like a majority of Cardio, I would highly recommend "Les Mills Combat" It's a 60 day program that is, by far, the most fun program I have done. (I'm a grad of Insanity, Les Millls Pump, Combat, done P90X and I'm 2/3 the…
  • Understand, totally. I'm 48.. 49 in August. Just remember, your results from Month 1 will be minimal. Your month 2 results, if you push it hard, will be awesome. And, you will be well on your way to the person you want to see in the mirror. **Dale**
  • You can't focus on the physical appearance or even the number on the scale. The big results in Insanity come in the final 30 days. These first 30 days are making sure you don't die in the second 30. You need to focus on the small progresses. Have you noticed you are taking less breaks? Are you finally making it through the…
  • Copied and pasted from another reply I left: There is a HUGE difference in the two. I have completed Pump and I'm on Day 51 of Beast right now. LMP is low weights, high reps set to music. (In one 55 minute routine, you do over 800 reps) The trainers are fun, upbeat and cheer you on. If you purchase the set, you have…

  • Yes. If you prefer weight lifting to cardio, Body Beast for sure. Combat is an awesome program, and one of the most fun programs I have ever completed, but it is 90% cardio. I am on Day 51 of Body Beast and, to repeat "Sweating_glit" it is truely, all weights and no joke!! Great program!!
  • I hadn't heard it put that way before, but a great way to describe it. I've got a group ready to start it in July as soon as we all finish Body Beast and can get our hands on the program.. I'm excited to see this one come out also. Too bad I can't go to Summit. Would have loved to get it early.. Yes, 5 times a week, 25…
  • The overall relaxation. It's also awesome to be in an "alien world" seeing something that not everyone gets to see. It's funny how so many people want to see my pictures and videos, but most of them don't want to see it by actually diving. Just did a day trip to Ginnie Springs, FL yesterday. Great way to start off the dive…
  • I had to spend some money on shoes too. During Insanity, my arches were killing me, especially during warm up. I got some shoes fitted to me and no issues. I also wear a knee braces. Had some major issues when I got to Max Plyo. After letting myself heal, I started wearing a knee brace on both knees anytime I have a…
  • That is fine. Believe me, when your body has had enough and REALLY wants you to rest on a rest day, it will tell you. But, as long as you can keep it light to moderate, you body will have enough time to recoup to hit it hard next week.
  • What's a hair cut? Thankfully, I haven't had to worry about hair style for 6 1/2 years.
  • I love for Shark Week every year. I even have my 6 year old daughter excited about Shark Week. :) I just got an email from Stuart Cove's this week. They have excursions now with Grey Reef Sharks, Tiger Sharks and even Oceanic Whitetips and Lemon Sharks.. The Bahamas are just teaming with all kinds of sharks.
  • I don't eat a lot, but I don't gas out as quick if I eat prior. Just a banana or a piece of peanut butter bread.
  • Good Morning.. Glad to see you are still kicking it Tamikka!! You are getting some unbelievable burns!! Great going!! Good idea staying away from the scales. Sometimes, people get too focused on the number and not all the other little things like pants fitting more loose or the toning in the arms, or the longer times…
  • Apex is who I would go with also. Love watching Chris and Monique's photography and their shows during Shark week. Stuart Cove's in the Bahamas runs an excurstion to "Tiger Beach" right off Grand bahama island. It's expensive, but you definitely get to see your Tigers. Check out www.stuartcove.com and you can find "Tiger…
  • Combat is an awesome program. I know a lady that didn't lose any weight during the entire 6o days, but her toning was outstanding. I actually did lose a lot of weight when I did it, but I still had to weight to lose also. Luckily, you are focusing on the results you can see and not just the numbers on the scale. Stick with…
