  • Since you have completed Insanity, just follow the Combat schedule and on days you need more, pick whichever Insanity routine suits your mood that day.. Month 1 to add a bit or Month 2 to really amp it for the day.. Although, adding Insanity to Combat is pretty Beast in my book. :) I've added some Les Mills Pump routines…
  • Agree with above.. Getting started out, I wouldn't bother with weighted gloves.. With some of the moves (elbows, etc) you could hurt yourself with overweighted wrists.. I had considered getting some weighted gloves until I did all the routines.. No need for them now.. Might consider them for the second round.. The gloves…
  • I just started week #3 of Combat.. It is freakin' awesome!!! Thank goodness I've done Insanity. It's prepared me for this.. This is, to me, the TOP program put out there!! I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this program!!! Also, if you get it, go ahead and get the "Ultimate" package. Everyone that got the basic package is now…
  • Hah.. Nice to know I wasn't the only one feeling that way..
  • You can always do a hybrid schedule.. After I had a knee injury, I was told I can't do Insanity 6 days a week and no more Month 2 Plyo at all. So I made schedule that incorprated Insanity 3 days a week and Les Mills Pump (low weight/high rep training) the other 3 days with one day of rest.. Worked out great for me..
  • Lost .5 lb.. Was very careful with portion size and I also kept up my workout routine...
  • Jose Cuervo Black Crown Royal Capt Morgan (Orignal) And, if you haven't tried it, the new Jack Daniels Honey is damn tasty..
  • Insanity gave me the fitness bug.. So, that will always be a favorite of mine.. However, the new Les Mills Combat is the shizz!!! And, thanks to doing Insanity first, the Combat workouts are more fun than they are brutal.
  • IMO, I didn't get pushed enough during CC&B.. I ended up doing other things during that week, but I tried not to overdo it, because I did need that recovery time... But, again, that's just me.. Let your body be the judge about Recovery Week. If you do CC&B and feel fine after that, then maybe that will be enough for you.…
  • I'm not sure about "the blues" but I can become a downright *kitten* when I don't get to work out.
  • Good luck with it.. I'll be interested to hear what you think of Cardio Power and Resistance.. When I first started out, it was one of the harder ones for me.. Everyone talks about Pure Cardio, but I didn't think it was that bad..
  • I'm doing the "Ultimate" schedule also, but on days where there are just the Inner Warrior, Lower/Upper Body blow out routines, I usually supplement with a Les Mills Pump or Insnaity routine.. I do take my one rest day, but I also double up on others in the week. That's the only way I feel like I'll get those "as seen on…
  • I let either my 6 year old or 4 year old answer the phone.. They normally just hang up on my kids and then I block the number from calling again.
  • Thanks for keep us informed.. I like hearing about other's success stories. And, the fact that you are keeping with it, is a success story.. I like all the Month 1 routines.. Unfortunately, because of a knee injury, I had to take Max Plyo out of the rotation in my workouts. Even modifying wasn't helping. Just way too much…
  • Hah.. Every time someone mentions the Plyo, all I hear is "IN!!! OUT!!! IN!!! OUT!!!!" Kills me every time..
  • I'm trying to decide whether to go to work or not.. If the world does end, I sure don't want to spend my last day in this **** hole. :) Seriously though, 21 Dec 2012 is going to be one unGodly annoying day on the web.. It was pretty bad for Y2K.. It'll be interesting to see what people do and say tomorrow..
  • I just did Combat 45 : Power Kata this morning.. What a BLAST!! I can't wait to see what the 2 60 minute routines have to offer..
  • To be honest, only a Doc can give you the real answer, but I will share this with you.. I've been doing Insanity on and off since last July. (Off due to injury and not laziness :)) I'm also doing Les Mills Pump and Les Mills Combat.. So, I am constantly doing some type of cardio, 6 days a week minimum. Some days, twice a…
  • To log it accurately, get a heart rate monitor.. Then after the routine, go to "Track Excercise", "Add Excercise" then "My Exercises" (on menu bar up top) then "Create Exercise" You can input your time, your calorie burn and the exact name of the Insanity Routine you just finshed. Then next time, you can call it back up…
  • In my opinion, it depends on what you want to accomplish in the near future.. If you want to lose weight and get in shape, then, I would think Insanity is the way to go. If you want to get in shape, build muscle and bulk up (to an extent) then P90X is the way you should go. That's the way I've always explained the two…
  • My wife is trying to get me to eat something prior to my morning workout also. I never do, but she's says you have nothing to burn if you work out first thing in the morning without fueling your body. I don't burn out during the routines, but she says I'll lose weight faster if I fuel prior to the workout. It makes sense..…
  • 2 things make that ok: I was on vacation back in the UK for the first time in 18 years hanging out with a British friend that I hadn't seen in all that time I was gone. And, it was a "light" beer. ;)
  • First thing in the morning.. 4:00 am, roll out of bed, get dressed and push play. Wife has been telling me to eat something prior to working out and it will help lose more weight.. I keep forgetting. Maybe tomorrow.. But, first thing in the morning is the ONLY time during the day I have zero excuses not to work out. And,…
  • The gloves that come with the Combat program are not weighted.. Didn't know if you had your own or not, but just wanted to let you know in case you thought they were..
  • It is freakin' AWESOME!!! I love this program.. I did Week One of the Ultimate Warrior Schedule last week waiting for my Challenge Group to start up today.. I haven't done all the videos yet because I am following the schedule.. But, I know others that have tried the different routines and I have had no one tell me they…
  • It's awesome!! Granted, it is one of the hardest workout programs put on DVD, but it is so worth it.. You have to get up and do it every day.. You have to put 100% into it to get the results. But, the results will come.. Being totally up front, you won't see much change in month 1. You'll notice you'll be able to go longer…
  • Hope you feel better soon!!
  • Hot.. Period.. Like them on everyone.. They are art. In most cases, they tell stories. They commemorate special periods in people's lives. Whether it's a special date, a memorial to someone or even just one drunk, stupor of a night. Or even just a very strong appreciation to whatever the subject of the art may be. Whatever…
  • Welcome.. Insanity is an awesome program.. Had knee issues with the Month 2 Plyo, but other than that, loved it!! I'm doing a Les Mills Pump/Insanity hybrid right now and will add Combat in the mix on the 17th..
  • Ok, I'm going to go against the majority on this one.. I would say not to push pause. Do what you can, take breaks when you need to, but keep it playing. It will motivate you to "get back in the game" quicker. And, as time goes by, you'll feel the need less and less to take breaks. Insanity NEVER gets easier, but you do…
