This is exactly what I was going to suggest! I put a little honey in, and if I need a touch of fats, half a handful of crumbled walnuts, and it's yum!

Make sure that you're not starving when you go over - if you have dinner beforehand, make it a healthy but very filling one. The time I am most likely to overindulge is when I'm actively hungry, so I eat something good for me before I get to that point. Also, can you take something tasty that is within your plan? If…

I'm doing Primal, which is like Paleo - just some allowances for dairy in moderation, and a higher emphasis on "good fats." It's been about three weeks for me, and the first week was rough. I was bleary, tired, muzzy headed. It's called carb flu, and while it doesn't happen to everyone, it's pretty common. Since then I've…

I would say record it, but understand all of the factors, of which illness may very well be one. And don't be offended if people congratulate you, they do mean well, they just don't know the whole story. :) If nothing else, you should keep a record in case you start losing too fast, so that you can tell your doctor. But…

I'll have a square of *very* dark chocolate every few days - I budget it in for every day, but if I don't feel like it, I don't have it. Dark chocolate is good for you, in small doses.

Honestly, I would turn to food, rather than another type of shake. You don't need to replace a meal, just make sure you're eating good meals. A big salad with chicken, steak, or fish in it is better for you, and bulkier, so you don't get hungry again so soon.

You're now 1.2 pounds below your starting weight, so apparently you went up a little bit, at a weigh-in since then. It happens sometimes, for all kinds of reasons, you're still on the right track. :)

This was a pain in the butt for me, too, so about a week ago I emailed the FitBit team and asked if I could buy an extra charger, so I'd have one at work and one at home. I got a really quick response saying that they don't sell accessories separately but would be happy to send me one free of charge, and now it's on its…

My biggest problem with V8 is the amount of sodium. It's comparatively huge. And "natural flavoring" can mean anything - a quick Google will show you how much leeway companies have with terms like that. Reconstituted vegetable juice, I imagine, is where they condense it, like into a tomato paste, and then add water again…

I'm eating lunch right now! A brat (Premio, so nothing in it but pork, salt, and spices), an entire sauteed red pepper, an entire sauteed green pepper, and 3 ounces of sauteed mushrooms. Topped off with a little pasta sauce and a sprinkle of mozarella. Seriously, SERIOUSLY yummy, this is one of my go-to work lunches.

Generally speaking, calories are calories. However. Fast food is more likely to contain chemicals that stimulate appetite, preservatives that retard weight loss, sodium that increases water retention. The "pink slime" that was causing such a ruckus recently, which was/is used as filler for fast food burgers, and treated…

The goal that MFP gives you is with the deficit already worked in, and when it modifies that goal due to exercise, the deficit remains. So you can eat back your exercise calories, and it's a good idea to eat back at least some of them. Many of us choose not to eat them all back, though, as long as we're over about 1200…

I'm another one who weighs in the morning, after I use the bathroom. I try to keep it to weekly, though sometimes I can't resist hopping on the scale mid-week "just to see."

Really, it comes down to calories in, calories out, for weight loss. If you're burning more than you're eating, you'll lose weight. MFP gives you those numbers based on the diet plan that they prefer, but you don't have to stick to them. In fact, you can input custom percentages, in the goals section. A number of us here…

Hammerfall's "Last Man Standing" is a great bit of power metal that's been helping me kick my butt recently. There are a couple of slow spots, so it's better for lifting than running, I find.

Before I went primal, I really like breads made from ancient grains - the brand varied, but CostCo actually sells a good one.

Urine doesnt' flush fat out of your body, it's a way of excreting the toxins your kidneys process. If it's clear, that means you're drinking enough water to dilute it - that's a good thing.

I've used my FitBit for a little over a month, and I love it. It gets me motivated to move more, I want to keep my flower from dying! And if you look on the website after you've climbed a few floors, it'll tell you the equivalent of what you climbed. Knowing that I just scaled Godzilla can be a lot of fun. The site itself…

You probably picked an inaccurate listing, there can be a bunch of them on the site. If you go to this link, you'll see all of the listings for Chardonnay: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/nutrition-facts-calories/chardonnay From there, if you can find the right brand, great. If not, I look for something close like "generic…

I am definitely in! I'm going to do 200 at level 2 on my way out for my lunch time walk, and I'm going to *try* to do another 200 at level 1 before I leave for the day. Whee!

I'm a big fan of quinoa - it's a grain, kind of like barley, and you cook it like rice or oatmeal. And you can mix it with about anything - molasses for a sweet breakfast, mushrooms and broccoli for a savory side dish. It's yum (and really cheap).

Ok... apparently you can't edit your post the next day. Good to know! So, I'll just make a new one. :P SW: 155 CW: 155 (Yesterday was day 1, what?) GW: 130 (or just a bit under, but I'll take what I can get!) Weigh in Dates: 8/1 155 8/8 8/15 8/22 8/31 Total weight lost: Something I want to do once I've lost the weight is…

This sounds like a great goal! Call me in for 50 as well! Mostly walking, I'm afraid, but hopefully some jogging in a week or so, and some running by the end of the month.

I am definitely doing this! I'll come back and edit with my current weight, as soon as I get home and can get on a scale!
