Very glad to hear everything went well!

I was SOOOO extremely excited for it! Every day that went by just dragged for me because I was so excited to go in for surgery. I didn't get nervous until I checked in at the hospital to get ready. But that was pretty mild too. It'll be done and over with before you know it. Good luck to you!!!!!

I'm completely up for a Labor Day challenge! It's my first one! SW: 237 GW: 210 That's 27 pounds in 8 weeks. I'm only 2 months post-op so not totally sure what my body can do yet! But here it goes!

Decided to go through my closet and get rid of clothes that are too big on me...I wiped almost everything out! Now I have no clothes! It's bittersweet.

After a 4 week long plateau I finally started dropping again. I was so excited when I stepped on the scale for my weekly weigh-in! It's about time! haha I am curious to see how many inches I've lost, but I think I'm going to wait till my 6 month check up at the doctor so I can get one big number at once :)

Wow, it is really crazy seeing how each doctor's office is different! I didn't have a pre-op diet at all. I ate what I wanted (stuck to my normal healthy routine) and only had to do a liquid diet 1 day prior to surgery...that was it. Everything went well.

Well here I am, surgery went perfectly. I was only in the hospital one night. First night home was rough but I'm feeling better and better each day. I've gotta say though, the tummy grumblings are really annoying lol. Hardest part with this is I've been doing it with ZERO pain meds. I really mean none. They tried pretty…

I appreciate all of your support. Today was my last day of solid foods. The nerves are really going crazy now!

Wow, you have truly done an amazing job!!! It's always a great inspiration to see a success story like you. Not to mention your determination is extremely admirable. You look fantastic :) On a side note, YAY for no smoking! I quit myself, but I gained 25 pounds when I quit. However, I didn't look back once and I've managed…

Unfortunately for me (RNY) I will be on a liquid diet for 3 weeks then move to pureed foods. But once I can actually start eating, I will try pretty much everything. Thanks for all the tips everyone! What kind of protein do you use to add to your food?

Thanks for the deli chicken idea! I love cooking and want to continue doing it so my family and I will to be able to eat the same, healthy meals. (Obviously smaller portions for me once I am able to eat solids again.

I have not yet had any surgery, but I am in the process of approval for gastric bypass. I will hopefully have surgery by the end of May. Main reason I'm posting... I read every comment on here and I have got to say each and every single one of you is truly inspirational! I know very few people who have had the surgery so I…

You are all awesome! Thanks for the help! I went ahead and got Just Dance 4 so I'll do that for a while and figured I will eventually get Zumba also to mix it up. Thanks for the opinions :)

I keep hearing about that cookbook. I need to check it out for sure! I'll have to see if my local bookstore carries it :)

Eating every day at the same time is the best way to go! If you stay on track and keep eating at the same time every day, your brain will only start telling you you're hungry at those times instead of random times throughout the day. I was told this by my dietician and I did it myself and it's working out great :)

I gave up all forms of soda cold turkey just under a month ago. Honestly, the first 4 days were AWFUL because of the headaches from not having any caffeine. But I knew that if I wanted to lose weight, it would be to cut out soda 100% out of my diet. So here I am almost a month later and doing great. I drink 4 bottles…

I can wiggle my ears and my big toe on my right foot can only move upwards and not down. Like when you flatten out your toes, my big toe shoots straight up in the air haha

You can add me too! I'm new to all this!
