My original inspirations for losing weight actually were the following: 1 - be more attractive to the opposite sex 2 - to make those who burned me in my past really think twice about what they missed out upon The health reasoning has come to be a major factor since I started, but that was my initial rocket fuel.

My favorite is Fage, I usually buy at a ratio of about 2-3:1 the 0% versus the 2%. The nonfat is great for adding in other things (I like to simply add a pack of stevia or mix with protein powder), and the fat version (which definitely tastes better) is good for adding in a bit of dietary fat - often I will just add stevia…

I think the stuff that I get, the serving size is "1/4 second spray." I only use it to "grease" the pan when I cook eggs, and I use it so lightly (literally 1-1.5 seconds altogether) that.. that's shady as hell of the manufacturers, but I'll shrug off those 4-5 calories. >___>

My buddy mentioned today that I'm making Tony Horton's shoulders look like baby shoulders.. and this was while we were doing legs!

Yeah, Gold's on Washington and Shortridge does indeed have an indoor pool. I have never used it, however.

This. Your previous state of being overweight was probably her security blanket to cover up her own insecurities, and she lost that when you shed the weight. I'm sure losing her is a crushing loss and will take a long while to get over, but you've done well for you - do whatever you can to keep that going, whether it's…

One advantage I really find with it is per gram of protein, it is generally lower sodium. Not everyone has to worry about sodium levels, but I've got negative family history there, so.. yeah. I could nosh on chicken all day if I wanted to, but unless I bought the tasteless stuff that is really low in sodium (would require…

I thought this was another one of "those" threads at first. After reading the OP.. thanks for the laugh! :-)

Love me some cereal! I usually go through anywhere from 2-4 boxes of Special K Protein Plus per week.

Great story!

Let me tell you about bad calorie days. It's 10:36AM where I sit. I'm already over my limit. Still have 14 hours left in the day LOL. Luckily, I also have a lengthy workout ahead, but my previous worst was 1990 calories before noon. I accomplished that level of calories by 3AM! But yeah, I've had the really bad days before…

I dropped 18 pounds from an already fairly lean frame between the day after Christmas and February 9th's weigh-in. I can give you some pretty specific statistics, but the biggest thing there was staying active (I averaged 574 extra calories burned per day) and eating cleanly. My average daily deficit (my base goal was 2000…

I echo this. I also tend to brush off anything but the biggest and most obvious "this causes cancer" type of items. I have a friend who told me I shouldn't drink Diet Mt. Dew because of aspartame being broken down into formaldehyde, I mentioned that one byproduct of cyanocobalimin (common B vitamin supplement) is cyanide.…

Sure!

I agree with everyone else who has mentioned using weights to tone up- although you look fantastic as-is!

On the note of cleaning or anything of that sort too, I won't log it unless I'm cleaning snow off of cars for an extended period of time or shoveling snow. Those (particularly shoveling) are definitely above and beyond normal daily burns! I probably wouldn't log the four hour mall trip myself, but to the OP, I would say…

I will sometimes add in extra calories if I am doing something that is not normally a part of my work day. When I am stocking in used cars at work, that's pretty much normal for me and doesn't require all that much effort due to where we put them. However, I rarely stock in new cars, but doing so requires moving them all…

I hear quite a variety when I'm at the gym. Often times it is poppy in nature but every now and again I'll hear a tune that I actually like. The sounds of everyone working out, however, are so present in that atmosphere that you really have to try to pick out the music.

The best that has worked for me so far is keeping a high protein diet, avoiding foods that might irritate (the biggest offenders are anything with really high amounts of fiber - I used to like Kashi cereals but those are a big no for me now), and staying moving. I have had great success with keeping my diet around 40% or…

I love the various parks that are around, especially up towards the Carmel and Westfield areas - one in particular that was pretty awesome was somewhere near 106th and Spring Mill if I do recall - I don't recall the name of the park but I joined B.A.S.E. Fitness on a workout one weekend - that was quite creative and…

I also currently live on the east side of Marion county, actually not far outside of 465. Fitness is great, keep that stuff up for as long as you can, even if/when there are any setbacks!

I don't think locking out is 100% necessary (however I usually do) but I feel bouncing the weight from the chest is cheating reps.

Perpetually!

That's some hella progress in just seven weeks, keep it up!

I'd be willing to bet with a good strength training program, you could tighten up a bit and look the way you want with little or no weight lost at all! You most definitely don't look like you're in need of losing much of anything, however.

Depends on what I'm doing - during my "rest" week I have generally been there for about 40-50 minutes per workout but on heavier periods I can be there as long as 1.5-2 hours, sometimes even beyond that but it's rare.

Just posted this on my Facebook page, haha. She benches, squats, AND dead lifts more than me, lol.

The scale definitely is not always the best measuring tool. You look great! Congrats and keep up the great work!

I remember my most embarrassing one ever.. it happened in third grade and I about died from the embarrassment! I was holding a massive one in, as I usually do if I'm around people, and my friend and I had some assignment. I don't even remember what the assignment was, but it had people on it, and he proceeds to draw a HUGE…
