  • I feel that is sort of food porn. I like it but know I shouldn't. Oh that would be so good and probably make me sick.
  • Congratulations. Great job so far. I hear you about feeling like you look the same.
  • Calories burned is your TDEE for the day per fitbit. Remember it only counts walking activites. I usually check out the last 7 days by selecting week from the dashboard. It will give your your TDEE and if synched with MFP the total calories you ate. It will give you your weekly deficit. I use that to determine how much I…
  • Are you drinking water? I found when I started on this journey to get fit and loose weight drinking water was a big help. I was so dehydrated my body craved food to get fluid. I did eat under 1200 calories for several weeks and was fine. Then I decided to get fit too and found I had no energy. I found two different groups…
  • I am almost halfway to my goal. Here is me at my heaviest 265. I was unhappy, tired and just unconfortable in my skin. Then today at 228. Sorry my daughter photobombed my picture. I like how I looked so kept that one. Its just 38lbs lost but I think my face shows a big difference. I think I look good. Others probably still…
  • The Brititsh have short TV series which are longer than a mini series but not mulitple years. One year to tell the whole story would be amazing. Too bad we have no say in this sort of thing. Back a few years/decades I was impressed at what they did with The Stand. That would have been horrible as a Theater movie. I think…
  • I am always looking for new friends especialy those who are eating more than 1200 calories. I too see that and think are you happy ? I am while eating 1800 to 2000 calories and still loosing weight.
  • I agree watch it for at least a week to see an average maybe even longer. My TDEE can vary on the fitbit as much as 800 calories during the week. Depending on how active I am. Scooby set my TDEE as 2725. My fitbit TDEE this week had a high of 3100 and a low 2300. So 2700 is a good average and I am sticking with that. Also…
  • Good tips. I am overweight and am hesitant about running/jogging right now. I can jog for about 5 min and have to walk. I have been walking at 3.2-3.5mph with a high incline to get my HR up around 140/min. Its good to know that I am still burning that same calories walking as jogging would. I think in the long run it will…
  • I was excited when I heard they were making WWZ into a movie. Now not so much. I have a feeling it will be horrible. Its a shame because I love the book. It might make a better mini series. Do they make those anymore? I might have to read that one again. I love me some zombie stories.
  • I don't know why I have 2 posts. Here are my kids.
  • My motto is I can do it.
  • I have found my Fitbit TDEE is consistant with a calculated TDEE for Moderate activity for me. I lift 3x a week and mod cardio 2-3x a week. My TDEE is 2300-2800 calories a day per fitbit. I am sure its not 100% accurate but it give me a good idea abou how my day is going.
  • I don't know which of those names apply to me but I know I am in there somewhere. I love the Firefly, Zombies, real Vampires (not sparkly ones), Post Apocalyptic fiction, Dr Who (newer seasons), Misfits, Fringe, I think the earlier Star Wars are better, and more. I am not much of a gamer but my husband fits that bill. He…
  • I am not sure if you would call this clean. I usually have 2 scoops of my protein powder to get my protein up. That's 280calories and 52g of protein. Cottage cheese and avocado would be yummy.
  • I need my DH to get the 1st season and current for me. I have heard such good things about last season. I love scary stories.
  • I have no desire to read bad bondage porn. If it floats your boat go for it.
  • I was nervous about going in too. Especially into the weight room. I just put my earphones in both ears and ignore everyone else. I do my thing and leave. I am hopeful one day I will get out of my sweats and oversized shirt into cute gym cloths. Most people are only concerned about their workout. You go girl.
  • It could be that your chest strap was not tight enough. My thoughts are that your watch was not getting a consistant reading and could not calculate your calories burned. I have had this happen a couple of times. I usually rewet the strap and readjust the size and postition again. I always test to make sure its reading my…
  • I am adding calories to get to that number. I have been eating 17-1800/day. Its will be a big jump to go up to 2000+ a day. I am trying to convice myself this is what I should do. I am afraid if I loosen up my eating it will all go to H*ll. Does that make sense?
  • I bought my fitbit Ultra after my HRM (polar FT7). I use my HRM to track my lifting, walking or zumba. I have found the fitbit calculates my calories when walking the same as my HRM. which is nice to know if I forget to bring it. You just put it in stopwatch mode and it will keep that activity for you. I do link it with…
  • I am working hard to eat above my BMR (1700). I think its more psychological than anything. I do find when I eat more SHOCKER I loose weight. I am having a hard time getting there by the end of the day. I would love to have more friends who know eating more is better in the long run. I have lost almost 35lbs but still have…
  • I have a HRM (Polar FT7) and a fitbit. I wear my fitbit all day on my bra. I like wearing it there because its discrete. It tells me the calories I burn througout the day. It links with MFP. I log my food on MFP and the totals go to fibit. I can look at the calories I burned and calories I ate through the week to know how…
  • The glow might be because I am actually hydrated for the first time in years. Thanks everyone for your kind words. Its nice to see results from working so hard.
  • I did not either until I looked back on a before picture. Keep a before picture to look at and it will help motivate you. I still have a lot of weight to get rid of but this makes me feel I am making a difference.
  • That glow is just my white girl showing through. LOL. Its nice to see progress because I still have a long way to go. Seeing this helps me keep going forward OP. Thank you everyone for letting me share.
  • Great job. When I started I struggled to walk a mile. Then a few weeks later I was amazed that I could walk the same distance and more feeling fine. Just keep doing more and you will be amazed. You puppy will last longer too. Lucky she is small so you could carry her is necessary. Mine is 50lbs and no way will I carry her…
  • Broiled tilapia with lime and butter, Bow tie pasta with lime sauce and peas. 338 calories and Yummy. Oh and a Honeycrisp apple for desert. These are so addicting.
  • I would mix it up a bit. Increase your calories to above your BMR and take a break from exercise a day or two. See what happens. I was at a plateau and eased back a bit with my exercise and increased my calories a few hundred. Low and behold a few days later I started loosing again. Just a thought.
