Hi I am currently 220lbs, but have been running since I was 235lbs (I am 5' 3.5"). I will be doing a 10k on October 7th. Take things slowly and enjoy the improvements. I went from very slow 18 minutes per mile to 14:45 minutes per mile in 6 weeks. Wishing you all the best with it. Incidentally I train 4-5 days per week.

I would eliminate it completely. have to agree with another post - needing alcohol as a reward or merely as something to drink that provides a buzz is the definition of an alcoholic. I only eat natural products or items with no more than six ingredients. I have cut out all sugar, refined products and heavy carbs - breads, pasta, pastry. (I have not had alcohol in 17 years, bar one glass!). I have one meal a week where I have anything I want, but I have still found I can't eat heavy carbs, so my…
