  • Planning on making artichoke and swiss stuffed chicken breast
  • I've been having this issue lately, too. Lots of days with no adjustment after reaching close to 10k steps and then other days with 3 adjustments (not identical). Kinda throwing off knowing what I'm supposed to be eating.
  • Morningstar Chik patties. Throw 'em in the microwave and done.
  • He gave me a sort of general "you COULD be doing some exercise as early as this day in the future" He's a great surgeon, but to be honest, I was sort of rushed into the surgery, so I didn't think to ask this question, and I guess he maybe didn't figure me for the exercising type.
  • On the same run I came across a butterfly on the ground, a bald eagle flying like 10 ft above me, and an unwrapped condom.
  • My plan is a big tattoo on my leg once I reach -50 lbs. I'm halfway there!
  • I bring snacks and breakfast in mine so today I had- Breakfast - blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, kiwi, and mango fruit bowl Snacks - String cheese, jell-o temptations lemon merainge pie Lunch - Roast beef sandwich with thin provalone cheese on village hearth light bread (80 cals for 2 slices) and garlic herb pita…
  • That makes sense. Thank you
  • It never crashes on me or anything. my maps just look more wonky So it'll say I ran in lines that I didn't, instead of a straight line. That's where I think it's getting the extra distance from. I was just wondering if there was an app that was a bit more accurate.
  • I was using GPS on all of them. As for the fitbit, I was running outside, so I was swinging my arms as usual. I'll look into changing my stride length, just seems odd that it'd be THAT big of a difference.
  • I have a friend who works at Teavana, so she gives me her 30% discount. My favorites from there are the Jade Citrus Mint, Earl Grey, English Breakfast Tea, Cucumber Melon Cooler, Sweet Asian Pear, and this combo that she makes for me that tastes like apple pie :)
  • I marinate mine in the lawry's teriyake sauce, put them on kebabs with zucchini and grill 'em. not sure how you'd grill kebabs on a foreman, but maybe just use the sauce and grill the zucchini separately. Also, amen on thighs being tastier than breasts! It's hard to dry out a thigh
  • You are totally right! I don't know why I said the same, that was an accident. I do know that it does have more than a can of mountain dew, though!
  • Yes this! I have a friend there and she can even make one taste like mountain dew (which sounds kinda gross to me, but if that's what you're into...) I'd suggest the jade citrus mint and their earl grey.
  • If you want it to have the same amount of caffeine, then you want a black tea. If you don't like the flavor of it unsweetened, throw in half a tablespoon of honey. It sweetens it up for like 30 calories. Also, you can check out places like Teavana where you can get mixes of tea and find a flavor you like.
  • I love Zombies 5k because of the story and all of that, however, JenSD6 is right. I'm having trouble running for very long and I'm on week 7. My friend who's on week 7 of their C25K app can already run much farther and faster than me. However, it does seem like the z5k is great if you're just starting out. It WILL get you…
  • The thing with the z5k app is that there aren't really zombies chasing you in it as much as you being trained so you can go get chased by zombies. However, it does have the option to have it track you by accelerometer, so if you hold your phone in your hand, it can tell if you're picking up speed or not. But I have done it…

  • I'm doing that too, week 6! My friend is doing a typical C25K and I'm noticing that his seems a bit harder. I think because his will just have a 20 minute run and the Z5k has a "freeform" run, meaning you can stop and walk if you need to.

  • I go at about 6am because if it's the FIRST thing I do in a day, then I'm not able to blow it off, like I would after work or something. Plus, then I'm too tired to realize I'm actually working out.
  • Wanted to blow off running this morning, but managed to talk myself into getting out of bed and doing the thing
  • Well, more people would be willing to go to college if they knew they wouldn't have to pay it off for the next 30 freaking years. Also, flipping burgers, serving food, etc isn't really a job everyone is anxious to stay in forever. Ya'll are acting like if they get $15/hr for it, they'll NEVER leave. But the fact remains…

  • They are able to afford it because they live in an RV. They don't live in an actual apartment or house. And if I just wanted to pick up and live like them, where do I get the money to go out and buy myself an RV? And why don't you need a car if it's only one person? I explained why you need a car. Unless you live in a big…

  • yeah, I live in the midwest and rent for me for a one bedroom apartment with utilities included was $600 a month. And we're talking about a single person here, not a duel income. Where do you get internet for $20 a month? Health insurance may be 95, but that doesn't include copays, cost of medications, and such. $100 a…

  • Please break that down for me. Break down rent, food, any medical bills, car insurance, phone bills (even just a land line if we're believing poor people don't deserve cell phones, clothes, and any costs relating to children if they have any. And I don't care if they dropped out or not. I really don't. If I'm gonna eat at…

  • "one estimate suggests that raising the minimum wage from $7.25 to $15 an hour could increase the cost of a Big Mac by 68 cents." If paying $.68 more so some kid putting themselves through college can actually take a night off once a week to study is so unpalatable to you, don't eat there. Make your own burgers. It's a job…

  • If the servers get $15 an hour as well, that's GREAT! As it is now, most restaurants can get away with paying servers less than minimum wage. We're talking around $3 an hour, in some places less. Raising the minimum wage doesn't necessarily mean these people will see any more money.
