The hardest part is trying something new. When you are restricting calories, the easiest option is to increase flavor. I like to add cilantro to salads to give it a different taste - lettuce is lettuce is lettuce. Add salsa instead of dressing also works. You are going to do great!

Instead of 'snacking', have you thought of increasing your meals to 5 a day? It will help keep you satiated AND keep you from wanting to snack, assuming your meals are healthy to begin with. just an observation, but it seems like you feel better if you sacrifice on a meal so you can snack. I haven't noticed any burping. All the literature I have seen says TONALIN is the ONLY type you should take. I tried it in liquid form - boy was that a big mistake.

I grow my own so the "processing" I do consists of picking it, drying it, using it is things. Of course, if I am out somewhere and they do not have stevia, I will use Sugar - It's my contribution towards my son-in-law who works for C & H.

Iron is one of those things I would get info from the doctor about. I would also eat it rather than supplement with pills. This is also an easy mineral to lose by drinking diuretics (tea/coffee). I'd follow the CDC before MFP, though.

Have you tried hemp seed or toasted buckwheat? The hemp is up there in calories because of the Omega3, but it leaves you satiated much longer.
