Since you're within driving distance, I was wondering what time I should be there?

Start accurately logging everything you eat using a digital food scale. I bet you'll be surprised.

I think you may have mixed us up with some other weight loss forum.

Avocados, sweet potatoes and celery. Because they're gross.
-
Yep!

So much derp, so little science.

Commando.

Then you didn't throw it away. There's a difference. Many people actually throw it away.

That's quite the leap. I own a diet Coke t-shirt. I don't work for the company. (I wish I did, free product!) Diet soda is probably 99% water, so nope, nothing wrong with water. The bottom line is if it has an adverse effect on on you personally, don't drink it. For the rest of the population, it's safe to drink.

Yes it will. That's why people get really thin before they starve to death. If you are not losing weight, it's not because you are undereating.
-
So your solution to the issue is for people to lie to the OP? It doesn't matter if her calories come from sugar, "changing it up" doesn't actually DO anything. I see these types of responses on other weight loss communities. And they're the reason so many people keep spinning their wheels and getting nowhere. It's…

If this is a triggering place for you then you need to stop coming here rather than thinking you're going to be able to make everyone understand you.

+1

If you've lost 5 pounds and you just started then you are not at a standstill.
-
Never heard of it, but if it's weight loss products, they're unnecessary.
-
Then that's the problem. Eating "clean" doesn't do anything if you're not in a deficit. If you haven't been tracking your calories, you're probably eating too many.

I see MFP still allows willy nilly flagging.
-
In case the flagger is still reading and feels ashamed now, you can click it again and remove the flag. That was a sweet story, OP, thanks for sharing!
-
Ah, gotcha.

One entry that jumped out at me was your cream cheese danish at Starbucks for 155 calories. That seemed suspiciously low so I checked the Starbucks website. They list that danish at 420 calories. I almost never rely on the database if I can get my nutritional info from the label or the company.

He's not suggesting that you lie about it, he's saying that the machine is probably inaccurate. They usually are.

You totally pee it out like chicken fat. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/438315/when-is-a-pound-lost-and-where-does-it-go/p1

BMI takes your height into account, if you're picking a random number to shoot for. I would aim for the top of your healthy BMI range and then when you reach that you can decide if you're happy or want to keep going.

I think it's inaccurate. At my smallest, my fingers overlapped, at my biggest they didn't touch. Now that I'm somewhere in the middle, they meet. Personally, I'm not sure I buy into "frame size." We're all built differently as mentioned above. Many overweight people are fond of thinking they're "big boned" but the reality…

I leave it off because MFP would give me 1200 calories and I'd rather not eat 1200 calories. So I have a minimum that I eat, it's still a deficit if I don't get in a workout, just not a very big one.
-
Why? You're getting the scale, just weigh everything. It's easier and more accurate.
-
Good luck with that.
