  • Don't give up. Their are so many reasons weight fluctuates that it might just be the type of food your eating, or sodium levels or TOM or whatever. Exercise but give yourself time to heal. How are your cloths fitting, you might be losing more then you think and toning / building muscle. Don't give up, you are doing what…
  • For me it is an impulsive thing. For me eating, spending money, even exercising has to be watched. I have a tendency to overdo whatever I do. That is why this site has been so helpful for me. I religiously log everything so it reminds me of what is going on for the day. When I don't log my food I have a tendency to graze…
  • I don't know if it works yet but I have stopped trying to lose and am working on maintaining for a few weeks, then I plan on giving it a go to drop another 5 or 10.
  • I've turned into a "born again thin person" I've caught myself being critical of others. I don't think their is anything wrong with trying to help, you just have to back off if it isn't working. I try to lead by example. Some people at work have seen me and have increased their working out since I did it, why not them. I…
  • break apart what you ate, you should be able to estimate some of it. It isn't an exact science so do the best you can or estimate high.
  • As long as you lose slowly, I don't see a problem with going as far as you can. You will get to a point where you have difficulty going any further. See how you feel at that point. You might decide that that is where you need to be, or go for a bit more. I agree that you'll know when you get there.
  • Talk to your doctor about it, their are literally hundreds of things that could be going on, some insignificant others life threatening.
  • I'm with you there, mine is the Jiff natural. Unfortunately once i get a taste i usually over do it, hide it and bring it out just every once in a while.
  • The Stair master is great, it is one heck of a good workout and way less stress then running. I usually jump on the stairmaster once a week and it is a good change from running.
  • You should see an orthopedic doctor. A break would have been better, bad tendon or ligament damage can take a long time to heal properly. Stick with R.I.C.E. (rest, ice, compression, and elevation) and good luck

  • You have to eat an absolute ton to do any damage. People do talk about kidney damage but that would only be a concern if you had weak kidneys to begin with. A reasonably healthy person who is well hydrated doesn't have anything to worry about. Add some good strength training to your workouts and take advantage of the…
  • My favorites really shocked me into not eating them anymore: Red Robin Patty Melt, with Fries and a Coke: (OK with refills, several cokes) oh and don't forget rings: 2900 Approx calories Portillo's: Combo Beef and sausage, with cheese, large cheese fries, and a large coke: 2300 calories Just my typical pre work breakfast…
  • For me it has to be relatively high in Protein or Fiber (or both) If I down a regular bowl of cereal I'm starving by mid morning, Fiber One is the exception to that. If I eat an egg with a few whites I'm also fine. I usually make a omelet without cheese, some ham, or bacon or sausage and a few things like peppers, onions…

  • sounds cool, I can only do about 35 in a row. Where did you find the program to train for it?
  • They try, But seeing that Subway just passed them for the most stores I bet it is reactionary. Especially in light of a large Shamrock Shake being over 1,000 calories. Last time my kids wanted to go to the playland I packed a lunch for myself. I did break down and get a yogurt parfait as a snack
  • No more then 50% of your calories should come from Carbs, then split protein and fats. Just make sure you are eating good fats and lean proteins. That would be a good starting point, then play with it a bit. Try raising your protein a bit and lowering your fats, or carbs. For a person trying to actively build muscle a bit…
  • Look for the hidden sugar, the high fructose corn syrup and that stuff. Just be aware of the labels and I'm sure you will be eating well.
  • It depends what you eat, not all sugar or fat is created equal. fat and sugar from a Twinkie is bad, fat and sugar from an avocado, nuts, fruit etc isn't bad for you at all.. Unless a doctor told you that you have a problem with your blood work and need a specific amount I wouldn't stress too much about it. You are…
  • It will take some will power, just log everything you eat and workout or not if you are under your calorie goal you will lose weight. More than happy to be your friend, I'm just not sure how to initiate that.
  • Each day is its own day, your body does most of its repair and storage at night while you sleep. Don't eat a ton of food on any one day because the calories not used will be stored.
  • My family actually said I need to eat more, because they didn't think i was being healthy. Since he is your boyfriend and not husband, lay it out for him that "we" are going to eat more healthy and maybe once or twice a month you'll have a meal that is excessive. If he can't understand that, then you don't want to spend…
  • Most people are so clueless on what a serving is or how many calories something has. I went to Red Robin with the kids a week ago and when I ordered I asked for a carry out box to be brought out with the meal. Once the meal came out I cut the burger in half and put away half. The server acted like I had just violated some…
  • Double stuff....MMMMMMMMMMMM.......Double Stuff
  • That is why I log everything. Nothing goes down the hatch without being logged.
  • If you want to increase speed run for a shorter time and do interval training. Try running at 6 mph for 2 minutes then push it up to 7 mph for 2 minutes. Then back to 6 mph to "rest" for 2... You get the idea. slowly increase your bottom speed and before you know it you'll be running at 6.5 or more for the hour. You don't…
  • I had a UPPP. It worked fine till I gained more weight. Lose the weight first. I no longer have sleep apnea When you lose weight you will sleep better and if the surgery is needed then you will be better prepared for the operation.
  • Atkins is a diet (and a bad one at that) not a lifestyle. Exercise and watch your calorie intake. It is the only responsible way of losing and maintaining your weight.
  • Woke up and headed to the pool, then followed it up with a healthy breakfast. I'm ready!!!
  • You have to eat something, it doesn't have to be big, but something. Try a breakfast bar, find something you like, just eat something. Even as small as 50 to 100 calories. You do need to get something into you to assist your metabolism for the day.
