There are so many things I would change if I could, but ultimately if I changed anything I wouldn't have my kids. No change is worth that.

I don't know what you went to school for, but my suggestion to you is to promote yourself independently doing something. For example cleaning houses or a sales from home job. Something that can get you work references and shows your motivation. I would like that in a job candidate.
