Hello, I to am an emotional binge eater. I eat my feelings unless I am REALLY stressed, like adrenaline rush, think I'm going to die stressed. I don't know if you are religious but something I started lately was listening to meditations for weight loss by Marianne Williamson. I got the CD from a library, put them on my…

I have called the quit line and have a quit date set for January 12, 2013. I have smoked for 14 years and reall REALLY need some support from other smokers. I live in a house where everyone smokes. We are not allowed to smoke inside though so that is good that I won't have to smell it unless I go outside. Unfortunately…

Thanks everyone, the biggest difference I notice everyday is my upper arms. They used to be huge but now I actually have muscle definition. AWESOMENESS!!

I just finished day 2 of level 2. Let me tell you, it is some hard work. Definately hard work, but WWWAAAAYYYYYY worth it. I can already see change in the muscle definition in my arms. On another subject. What does everyone enter this in for caloric burn. I have been using circuit training general but I don't think its…

Three weeks ago I bought a healthometer from walmart for less than $20. It remembers you and one other person and measures to .2 pounds, and weighs up to 350. I love it. Simple to use, easy to read, and accurate. Good luck on your journey. :flowerforyou:

My entire work out wardrobe consists of danskin. I have danskin shoes, shorts, bras, and tank tops. One thing about the danskin shoes though, they only seemed to last for a year and the sole fell off, worn strictly for working out. I bought a pair of athletecs from K-mart and they have lasted a year and haven't started to…

From cowboy boots to business suits, it hurts when you get thrown, but if you're gonna be the best, you gotta get back on, Cowboy up, dust yourself of, get back in the saddle give it one more try, sweat and blood, takes all you got, cuz the road to heaven is a hell of a ride, Seriously, if anyone can name that song and…

Ok, I mean this in the most supportive way. Yes, I can see the progress, In your picture last year you had more fat on your face. This years picture definately leaner looking. I know it is hard to see the difference when you look in the mirror everyday. Trust me, you have come a long way. Keep up the good work.

Wow, that was amazing, thank you. We actually have a weight bench sitting in the garage taking up a parking spot, maybe it will have to come inside, then I will be able to park my vehicle in there!!! Thank you so much for the encouragment.

Can somebody please tell me what specifically has changed. I think my face, and the picture from the side looks thinner but upon first glance, I can't tell which ones are before and which ones are after. The ones on the left were from 8/22, and the ones on the right are from tonight 9/9.

Well that didn't work very well, let me try again. Set them up side by side, hope this works better.

My wake up moment, I've had a few. 1) I had a man ask me when I was due, (although he said it in spanish so I didn't understand it till later I had someone translate 2) I could feel my "chins" wiggle, I see that its really not that bad but it is the part of my body that I am most self concious about 3) My medical facility…

I'm on implanon and normally don't have periods, but since my "journey" shall we call it, started, I have had one day of spotting and then about a month later, a normal period (it was a little long, and the cramps and back aches were killer but I survived). I think it is your body chemistry changing. Its a good thing. I…

I can already tell a difference in muscle definition as far as my arms and legs go. Plus I weighed myself last night and I was down to 235.8, I started this weight loss journey at 246 about a month ago! ( I haven't been doing 30DS the whole time, but have been doing Jillian workouts almost that whole time) It is amazing. I…

:indifferent: Okay, just finished day 4 (literally still sweating, waiting for the shower to open up) anyways, I am experiencing some slight pain in/on my shins. I had the same problem when I did the "Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism" dvd. I really love Jillian and hew workouts and I don't want to stop because I know it is…

Thank you to everyone for responding. I think a rest day is good. Not to sound silly but then I don't count that day right? Of course, duh!? Anywho, greenmm, I find that I am sore in my muscles around my hips and thighs the most. It's at its worst right when I wake up but then I go to work and walk around for 9 hours and…

I do agrre with both of these statements. My fiance is a former meth addict and we were talking one night about addiction. Meth is extremely dangerous and it can kill you. However, is a sense, food can kill you too. The difference is you have to have food to live, you don't have to have meth to live. What I'm saying is it…

I recently discovered theses and am blown away. Fiber One brownies, they aren't very big but they are delicious and only 90 calories. And you can buy them individually so you don't accidentally eat the whole box. :blushing:

I am a smoker, trying to quit, can't smoke in my rental and winter in wisconsin just isn't going to allow me to smoke. Anyways, try crochet. Just go to your library or to a walmart and get a book on crochet and a hook and some yarn. I love it. I used to knit but it takes too long. In my opinion crochet is easier and…

Hello, I too struggle with depression. I went many years without having proper treatment. Anyways, there are still days when I wake up and think, "no way, I can't do this, why am I even trying?" then I think "Me, no one is going to help you on your journey, only you can help you" What I'm trying to say is, give it 1 week.…

I have always wanted to get by belly button pierced but always thought that it wouldn't look good with me being overweight. I also always thought that a tattoo around my belly button would be cool to. Probably just go with the ring though. I don't know how my skin is going to react to weight loss. So far so good but I have…

Okay, so I have had the same problem in the past and still struggle with it almost every night but here are a few pointers. First off let me tell you that I work 2nd shift so my times are going to be a little off so adjust accordingly. I get off work at 11:30pm, walk in the door and within 10 minutes I am working out. Some…

Thank you everyone for your advice. I was beginning to think there was something wrong with me. I have only been working out for about three weeks and can't expect to be perfect. I do feel better and I think I can visually see a difference but its hard telling the rest of my body that "hey, we are healthy now" and that it…

Thank you everybody for the advice so far. I probably should have mentioned that I am cardio crazy. Meaning that I love cardio. I haven't always but for the last three weeks (minus one day) I have done at least 20 minutes of cardio every night after work. I know they say don't work out before bed but it works for me. After…
