Seriously, people??? The water weight "lost" initially with a lower carb diet is due to the fact that your body actually needs to hold more water to process carbs. If you don't eat the carbs, your body gets rid of the water. it is not dehydrating itself in the unhealthy sense. If you start to eat more carbs, your body will…

I've read some of the long-term maintainers posted that their bodies continued to remodel and firm up a bit in the year or two post-weight loss and that the boobage firmed up some. Makes sense to me... your skin does need some time to catch up and turn over after weight loss. I'd wait a year or maybe even two before…

A can of tuna or some other fish, like kipper snacks or sardines. 2 eggs. cheese sticks, a couple hands full of nuts...

The weather here is turning to suck, so it's gonna be a challenge getting the exercise in, but hopefully the weekend will be nice and give us some make-up opportunity.

I have naughty bull terriers that need a good walk almost every day. They tend to want to stop and sniff a lot more than I like, but it's better than going out by myself. Unfortunately, they are kind of temperature sensitive and we have to work around the extremes, but it needs to be safe for everybody, right?

Fire the trainer. Get one that will help you learn to safely lift heavy (free weights, not the stupid machines) instead. You don't really need to do any cardio. Eat in the manner that makes you feel best. Stop journaling if it makes you anxious, or change how you do it so that it has information you can look back on to see…

meat sticks, jerky, boiled eggs, nuts, kipper snacks, sardines...

Yes, what Purplesaurus said. Before we all had sedentary jobs, we moved about at slow paces for longer periods of time. He recently made a comparison about walking a marathon (not much work) vs running a marathon (intense work), which I found illustrated that point very well. I don't think there is all that much truth or…

HA HA. I do squats and physical therapy stretches while I collect video data for one of my studies. I'd do more, but I'd hate to get down on the floor in that area, as it's pretty icky. And I run the 4 flights of stairs whenever I am not required to take the elevator. There is lots of opportunity to get exercise at work.

Some of us enjoy our flexibility as much as we do our strength. Flexibility and full range of motion are much more important in real life, as it keeps us from injury. It also makes more people jealous than a huge lift. Getting both=win. *kitten* to Grass all the way.

I'm in, too. I eat too much dairy and nuts, not enough veggies. Alcohol isn't a problem, as I've been off drinking since January due to liver issues. I can't lift yet because of surgical restrictions, but I am aiming to walk 75 miles with my dogs this month, and also try C25K.

Everybody tried to pin me in the corner and asked specifically how much weight have I lost (not how I did it, or anything else, mind you, just how much), which I find extremely invasive, both from a privacy and personal space standpoint. They all know I'm like that, too, which annoys me even more. I just smiled awkwardly…

they turn to a snot texture when wet, which makes it so nasty, I won't go near them.

Feeding a cat a vegan diet is animal abuse. Cats are obligate carnivores, which means they MUST eat meat. Don't give it back.

my first goal is 160, then re-evalute. I think I can get down to 145-150 and get to my BF goal of 18-20%. I have a huge muscular frame, and in high school was 150 without lifting and a size 14 jeans. This go 'round, I plan to be lifting, so we'll see what shakes out at the end. i really don't care what the scale says at…

Do it. Best workout you can get , strength and cardio at the same time, and it is done quickly. Leaves more time for living the rest of your life. I would do kettlebells just for fun, even if it wasn't the most effective form of exercise.
-
Breaking muscle has this active stretching pre-workout called Primal Moves. Its on Youtube and takes about 8 minutes. I plan to try it once I am allowed to roll and put weight on my shoulder. I don't typically have flexibility issues, but I don't feel like you can ever do enough stretching.

Yes, your dominant side is usually stronger. I always pick kettlebells. They are the answer to almost everything. Make sure you take instruction from a certified individual to ensure your are doing the swings properly, though. That is money well spent. Then all you need is Kettlebells, and you can junk the rest of your…

Grain makes me binge. That's why I try to avoid it.

I always get them with gizzards, which I throw in to water with garlic and other random seasonings for like an hour at a low boil. I let them cool, bag them and keep them in the fridge for snacks.

Yes, I used 20 hours of light work activity and 360 minutes of light cardio activity in the spreadsheet to get the numbers I posted. I suppose I could add the daily 40 minutes of physical therapy to the mix, too, as technically it is activity. extremely uncomfortable activity. I think I'll leave it out, though. I do have…
-
That's where I got the numbers I just posted with my current lowered activity plugged into it. Does the estimates seem too high?
-
I have the same stats as you. 5'6", SW 252, CW: 195, though BF has been estimated at 33%. I eat 1800 a day and have only been walking an hour to an hour and a half 3 times a week due to post-op exercise restrictions for the last 7 weeks, and I STILL am losing a pound a week. This is after doing Crossfit and kettlebells 3…

Just add honey until it's sweet enough. Personally, I don't like honey, so I use a high quality fruit preserve of some sort. Otherwise, just using fresh fruit is usually enough to kill enough of the tartness. Then I add some nut/seed mixture and/or dried fruit for more texture.

If it had a mother, absolutely. Most good paleos would only eat a raw fed one, though, as kibble fed won't give it the right fatty acid ratios.
-
Raw fed would be better, not as fatty as grain/kibble fed. I think they would be much more calorie dense than rabbit.

Also, minimalist shoes should have a very wide toebox, and so should not be limit your foot or toe movements in any way.
