  • I want to wear an awesome spring dress for graduation! yay! oh, and I miss shopping for hot clothes. Also, I want to be a fun mom and I can't be a fun mom if I get so fat I can't go on roller coasters, so here's to nipping that in the bud!
  • I'm a school-goer also: snacks: lowfat string cheese (60 calories per stick), almonds (1/4 cup is 200cal but totally filling), pistachios (I think you can eat like 30 for around 130 calories - see package), jello sugarfree (10cal), jello sugarfree or nonfat pudding (100cal), jello mousse indiv. serv (60cal) with a few…

  • interesting thread! it's a tough social cue isn't it? It's not really progressive but it is a compliment so take it and smile, it's not intended to insult anyone. My husband's best friend told him he was marrying up and that he himself was undeserving of his wife, so it's just a bit of self-deprecating flattery. I think we…
  • welcome! and why wait for the new year when each day is a new day!
  • I was on BC for a long time, with some long breaks, but at least 6 years altogether. Yaz made my legs feel funny and the best one i was ever on was ortho tricyclen lo - no weight gain, no moodiness, and my skin was clear. then one day this year I come to find out that there are much less pharmacological methods that are…
  • gorgeous dress! We are always our own toughest critics. If you can't go in that dress because you feel too bad, go in something else. But I think you look great!
  • maybe a multivitamin, you know since no fruits/veggies? btw mountain biking is awesome! my fave!
  • you are such an inspiration to me! I'm like, gosh I don'tknow if I can lose 50 pounds in 20 weeks. You're awesome! thanks thanks thanks!
  • whoa you look just like my brother! good job losing the weight, you know there are lower-calorie french bread pizzas in the frozen food aisle.
  • how much you eat to lose weight is not how much you eat to maintain. when you get to your goal, get your resting metabolism tested at the gym or with a BMR calculator. Factor in how much exercise you do and make sure you eat enough to maintain that balance. I lost a bunch of weight and looked hot like you but then I didn't…
  • thanx :) you guys are awesome! btw nsv is non-scale victory.
  • I say: 2 egg whites and 1 whole egg, canadian bacon; it's Lower calorie, lotsa protein and totally delicious. Also, if you like toast with your breakfast, Wonderbread has a new bread out that looks and tastes just like white bread but only 50cal per slice and 5 grams of fiber for two slices, plus calcium. If you're like me…
  • NSV!! I am waiting for the day when my stomach is washboard flat, but in the meantime fitting into my graduation dress in June will be all righty. I haven't found the dress yet, but when I do, you can bet there will be pictures of it. I think I might do my before and after pics then.
  • awesome site. so glad mcjabber told me about it. just wonderful. Webmaster, you're a Godsend.
  • Ugh, I hate those awful rough weeks. Just look in the mirror and tell yourself you are a wonderful creation, always speak kindly to yourself and know the things they say are a reflection of them, not you. I wish you lots of luck and love and good friendships! Keep up the good work, love yourself and take care of yourself…
  • check with your doctor and ask him/her about the change in insulin around those weeks of pregnancy and why hyperglycemia is so bad for the baby. Your doctor can help you with this.
  • Your stats are great! Thanks for the encouragement. You've done what I'm trying to do and your post really really helps keep me motivated.
  • I like to make tuna noodle casserole - the lower fat, lower calorie version. It's my favorite. I'm wordy, the recipe's a snap. - 16 oz canned tuna (I like it very tuna-y. check with your doctor for recommended daily/weekly allowance of tuna regarding mercury levels. personally i'm not concerned, but i'm me, not you) - half…
  • might be time to think about whether you have fueled up enough and reflect on your emotions.
  • I like their gummy vitamins. Their ready-to-eat selection is good. Also they have inexpensive fruits and vegetables, compared to other big supermarkets.
  • I would say just make sure to drink enough water when altering fiber and protein levels. Does anyone know where to find a discussion post about support systems in weight loss? I keep getting all this advice from friends about don't lose more than a pound a week and I'm eating at least 1200 calories and my body just loses…
  • it's not my equation, but thank you for the en pointe praise and criticism.
  • protein is supposed to be 0.8g/kg of body weight, which is usually around 50-60g of protein. the problem with too much protein is it puts holes in your kidneys.
  • Congrats! Your confidence is inspirational. I have never managed to make my thin clothes stick and have spent waaay more money buying fat clothes than thin clothes. I have a hard time with attention as well. But your story and the way you respond to attention makes me realize maybe I can take a page out of your book and…
