  • well I`ve never heard of an overweight person getting fed and treated for anorexia. it is a mental disorder, not something you just get for a week. maybe your mother had other reasons for not eating, i doubt it was anorexia.
  • how on earth will someone thats eating below their rmr gain weight? that is not possible.
  • putting kids on diets is just sick. your son is not overweight, it doesn`t matter if they`re a little on the chubby side when they`re still young and growing as long as that stops when they`re fully grown. I have two younger cousins that were both "fat" when they were 6-10, but it evened out and they?re now both VERY tall…
  • I think the 1200 limit is used because thats the minimum amount of calories you should be eating to get the nutrients you need to survive(more or less, even 1200 is probably not enough for an adult, depending on what you eat). BUT fortunately you will be able to survive even if you eat less than that, our bodies aren`t as…
  • Congrats! Oh you`re probably gonna hear that a lot. Don`t listen to them, its more important that you feel comfortable in your own body :)
  • Its technically not a fast if you eat every day though. Just sayin.
  • I`m not sure, but you might just have lost a lot of water. When the water in your body doesn`t have enough fat to bind itself to you can suddenly drop a few pounds just like that. I wouldn`t worry about a plateau though, if your weekly calorie intake is lower than what you burn off you will always lose fat as your body…
  • Oh man, I`ve fluctuated as much as 15 pounds in three days(meaning i "gained" 15 pounds). I had a really salty meal one day and didn`t drink enough.. It all depends on your current weight though. I think the more you weigh, the more your water fluctuates. And of course it depends how much salt you eat, how much water you…
  • Maybe you have to down your calorie levels a bit, or just exercise a little bit more. No worries though, that happens to everyone! Just don`t give up, you`ll start seeing the numbers drop :) Its better to lose a pound a month than to gain one.
  • I`m guessing you mean 10 pounds, which is about 5 kg. Its definitely possible, but you`d have to really torture yourself those two weeks(and of course you will lose water etcetc) I highly doubt you will start losing muscle though, it takes more than 2 weeks to lose muscle(unless you have a very low body fat percentage).
  • I have tried that myself and it does work, but you have to be careful of what you eat after your fasting day. Its easy to go nuts and stuff your face because you went hungry for a whole day. The first two weeks I was feeling pretty sh*tty, but the third week i was used to not eating and had no problems(I fasted every other…
