oh and whatever you do...do not listen to this person.

i know this is going to sound funny - but what about an ice pack? i bike to my gym, i'm also on the East Coast (102F today...what???!) the humidity is killer! i bought an ice pack for a pulled ligament in my knee a while back. it's been sitting in my fridge. i wrapped that thing around my upper arm. it seriously took the…

my all time favourite is banana "ice cream" slice some ripe bananas and freeze on a parchment lined cookie sheet. once frozen, throw in a food processor with some dark raw cocoa. add in some all-natural peanut butter, cinnamon, nutmeg - the choice is yours how you want to flavour it! the food processor will chop up the…

Tiffany Rothe has some amazing youtube exercises that help strengthen your core. It's a cardio type workout as well so it really works. Have a look for 'booty shake' on youtube - i know, sounds funny but it really does help!! Jillian Michaels has a standing abs one too that kills me!

i'm weighing in almost exactly the same amount you are, OP - i bought a bike anyway. it's just to get me to and from the gym and i knew i'd be "overweight" for it, so i just bought a cheapie from wal-mart. it's suiting me just fine. the weight limit on it is supposed to be 220. oh well! haha! i bought an old fashioned…

i keep mine in the kitchen as well. gets much more use when it's there - and it stares at me like it's judging me haha!

love the stuff!!! i'll cut up a wedge, wrap it in tin foil with a little smoked sea salt, whole grain mustard and a tsp of olive oil and roast it. such a great, filling, side dish.

Exactly!!!

fat flush my fat heiny lol infused waters are great. especially if you have a pop/soda addiction - they're a great replacement. but that's it. "No magic pill. No special shake (or water). No secret diet. Just get off your *kitten*"

I'm in!!!

This puts my mind at ease as well. I'm allllways over my protein, but always under my calories/fats. thanks!!
-
thanks!! i'm going to try a kale/pineapple protein smoothie tomorrow morning and see how it goes.

something small and nutrient packed seems to be the key here. i never feel like eating when i first wake up (never skip breakfast though). thanks for the tips you guys! :)

have you given thought to any of the Tiffany Rothe work out videos on youtube? she's got some AMAZING routines. no more than 10 minutes per vid. and while she's easy to follow along with, she can definitely get you to kick it into high gear. plus she's very much about feminine beauty - which i love!

1 whole egg, 2 egg whites. mushrooms spinach and some 1% cottage cheese! love it!

thank you! and thanks for not being a superior know-it-all about it either lol! I've asked this before and got back 'oh you've ruined your metabolism!' and crap. sheesh!! :)

I have an honest question for you then - I'm still trying to figure this out myself. Based on how I've set up my MFP I have 1360 calories per day with 5-6 1hr workouts a week. This is how I've been working out consistently for the last month. (i've been losing way more inches than weight btw). if i already have it set up…

i LOVE Dr Joel Fuhrman. His appearance on Dr Oz(not a fan of Dr Oz btw lol) is what got me started on this journey. In a year I've lost 91 lbs. I've had my ups and downs for sure, and I don't follow his diet to the "T" but I definitely do my best to make sure that veggies are 80% of my diet. My first few days were really…

Thank you for this!!! I've been doing Tiffany Rothe videos for a while (absolutely love them!!) and am never sure what to log them as since i don't have an HRM. this gives me a rough estimate! thanks!!

I didn't even realize this was a *thing*! Very new to this - so please be gentle! lol for example - i'm set to eat about 1380 calories per day. I try and eat 1200. so far, so good. My typical trip to the gym, I burn about 800 calories or so. More during the day if i go for walks, etc. Yesterday I burned just over 1000…

I have another 65lbs to lose! Please feel free to add me.

I have the same issue! MFP says my 35 minutes on the eliptical burns 629 calories - but the machine tells me only about 400 or so (can't remember the exact amount). 200+ calorie difference is huuuuuge!! Maybe I'll go according to MFP? Since i'm eating calories based on MFP, I should count my calories exercised according to…
