If I am lucky and my husband is with me (who can eat anything and not gain) I buy or have the sweet item and take a bite and let him have the rest. Also, if I have more than a bite of something, I make sure I work out extra.

If I plan on going out for dinner, I look up the place online for their menu and hopefully they have a nutrition counts with it. That way, I can figure what to have and my limits and if I need to either exercise more before or after.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but try eating more vegetables and salads. At least 2 cups of veges for part of your lunch and 2 cups of veges for part of your dinner. Also, try having lots of egg whites on hand, so when you are hungry have some egg whites.

Got off of diet coke and coke. Started eating lots of veges salads instead of crackers, chips and candy bars. I had a headache the first couple of days and now I have so much more energy. I don't feel so sluggish and I have gotten myself to the gym!
