Saw my dimples when I smiled in the mirror this am. Haven't noticed them in a long time.

499 days and 72 lbs down. I did it by changing to healthy foods and logging everyday! Nothing fancy. Not much exercise due to a broken leg that did not heal properly. I am going into surgery this time in much, much better shape and 288 sticks of butter lighter. Yeah!

Large cup of Millstone Hazelnut coffee and 2 tbsps half and half. As good as a dessert! 40 calories!!

Reggie--you can lose weight while on meds! I have some serious chronic illnesses and take a variety of meds including prednisone. One doc told me "you will never lose weight on prednisone". Not true. I have lost 73 lbs so far and my blood tests are nearing normal. MFP works. Less calories in--more calories out!

Congratulations! Think where you will be one year from now! "Be the turtle" as my daughter says!

Great job!! I also belong to the 72 lb loss group--anyone else?

I'm 65 and have lost 72 pounds since April, 2013. I did it mostly through diet alone, since I had a broken leg and a complication that I am still struggling with--a broken titanium rod--so believe me it can be done!! I stay around 1400 calories a day but go higher if I'm traveling. Even then I always aim to stay at…

First my Scale Victories: I've lost 72 pounds (age 65, 5'8") while dealing with a broken leg and its complications. The broken leg was finally my wake-up call. Thank you MFP for your tools and thanks to all the MFPer's with such inspiring success stories. My NSV this week: Went clothes shopping with my daughter and she…

Sorry to hear about your health conditions which are, sadly, similarly painful to mine. I'm 64 and have dealt with Lupus and Autoimmune Hepatitis for 25 years. During this time I have been on various doses of prednisone which caused me to gain 100 lbs. That's only 4 pounds a year but boy does it add up. In March I fell on…
