My husband is a different man after getting his CPAP. Being able to sleep will also help with weight loss.

I would call it a win since you kept it small. The process takes time and 2 days isn't that long. You will learn your triggers and your coping mechanisms. Take this as a learning experience.

Many of the kid meals offer apple slices instead of fries. When fast food is the only option, a kid meal with apple slices may be your best bet. I also like to check out the prepared food section of grocery stores and you can pick up some fruit or a salad too.

Unless your diet consists mainly of meat, you probably are getting enough potassium. I find many of the food data basis are not complete and may not show all nutrients.

Diabetes runs in my family so sugar is an issue for me. I have learned to drink coffee with just milk and sometimes add a little cinnamon for extra flavor. I also find by eating less refined sugar I am less hungry and don't have the cravings I did before.

I am planning on getting a massage at my next step

My daughter was in college so waited about 6 months also. There are fats that don't require bile for digestion. I used coconut oil when sauteing and she was fine with that.

I think he meant phat not fat. At least that's how I would take it. Keep walking.

I make sure I eat at least 1200 gross calories ( not taking exercise into account). Then if I am hungrier the next day I sometimes go a little over.

chips - mostly potato but I can eat a large bag of just about any chip if you put it in front of me

What's on sale? That's where I start. Pork chops are on sale here so I think I will make those Spanish style with tomatoes and veggies. Then some rice or millet on the side. Tomorrow going out for hubby's b-day. Friday will probably be a frittata day. Eggs are on sale and I have a bunch of veggie portions to get rid of.…

Find some non-food/ non-drinking activities to do together. Walks in the park or going to the gym together. Yes another person can throw you off track but only if you allow it. Find your balance.

Possible muscle loss is the biggest concern, make sure to keep your protein levels up and do some sort of weight training to keep the muscle. Also watch your fatigue levels. Fatigue could be a sign you are too low in your calories.

breakfast burrito. Hard boiled egg, cheese and salsa in a wrap.

I would never make it if I had to give up all chocolate.

You are about where I started from in 2010. It can be done. I stopped at 235 for a few years and then gained some back to 245 so am back here to continue losing.

I have convinced my son to do a 4 mile loop with me tomorrow, so that should help with any overage of calories. We are keeping it fairly simple this year. Hard boiled eggs, kielbasa and yeast bread for breakfast. Ham and sweet potatoes for Easter dinner. I think my Mom is making cheese cake though. Remember the holidays…

Crunch! I need something that crunches like carrots or celery or cucumber or apple. Then I pair it with a protein like peanut butter, hummus or cottage cheese.

The Eating Well website has some free meal plans at various calorie levels to give you some ideas of where to start.

I only buy very small portions of the food I want to limit. I always have a ton of carrots and celery in my fridge. I also try to keep it positive. Food is fuel. It is not bad nor good.

Sweet potatoes are a great vehicle for many things. it is really quick if you start them in the microwave and just finish off in the oven or toaster/oven. I like them topped with black beans and salsa and cheese (for the non vegans). My daughter made vegan burritos the other day filled with black beans, brown rice, red…

Usually just coffee before I workout. Sometimes a toaster waffle with peanut butter but then I wait at least 1/2 an hour. If I have eggs I usually have those after.
-
No need to buy dumbbells. I use liquid laundry detergent bottles. They are great weights.
-
For me personally it would not sustain me. Too much sugar with not enough protein nor fat.

I try to stay away from sweet drinks. I do use a raw sugar and stevia blend in my herbal tea when I want a little sweetness. Try to focus on the positive. Incorporate more whole grains to increase energy. Focusing in on adding healthy foods (nutrient rich) instead of eliminating things makes it easier to change your habits.

Frittatas are actually quicker and easier than I imagined. You should go for it but make sure you have an oven safe frying pan. I also like a vegetable stir fry and you can use cauliflower "rice" to cut calories even more. My daughter and I are actually going vegan this week. Tofu stir fry for lunch today. Yesterday's…

Both - Short term goals keep you on track toward those bigger and sometimes too big to think possible goals.

I start with the store circular to see what is on sale and what fresh fruit and vegetables are in season. I then take a paper and section it off into 7 sections (days of the week) Then divide those into 4 (3 meals and a snack). I like to start with snack which is easiest. My formula crunchy veggie (carrot, celery,…

I was kinda sorta maybe working out at home, but then all the excuses came. I finally got a gym membership. It does not rain or snow in the gym, my cat and dog don't get under foot and I leave my phone in the car.

You have lost a large amount in a short time. Some of the 2-4 pounds was probably just water and now your body needs to burn off some fat which takes a little longer. Also if you changed up some exercises or are feeling a bit more sore you may be retaining water to heal those muscles. The scale is just a tool. It only…
