  • Hi Robert I have been vegan for the last 9 years now and can say it really changed my life, attitude and enjoyment of food. I used to have terribly irritable bowels that led to painful long term medical problems, however that has gradually improved over the years and doesn't bother me so much anymore. I used to have oily…
  • My pinkies turn in the ways. Weird. I think the shape of your mouth makes you look like Lana del Ray. That's a good thing!
  • As long as you exercise the calories off it's fine. Don't deny yourself treats!
  • Yup......dump that *kitten*. I don't care if you were 40 stone or 10 stone, you've lost 44 lbs, you should be receiving support from someone who's supposed to love you. I am really sorry but if he loved you he wouldn't be such an *kitten* to you.
  • Don't worry about looking gross at the gym. It's not a fashion show. I don't buy new clothes for the gym, I just wear old baggy clothes I wouldn't wear out anymore - what's the point when you're just going to sweat all over them?
  • Honestly, that is truly amazing. Well done x
  • GUACAMOLE!! Some red onions, tomatoes and chilis. Eat it with low fat nacho crisp type thingies. Mmmmmm
  • My bf weighs 135lbs, funnily enough that's the exact weight i'm aiming for lol. Only 35lbs to go!
  • Keep track of: Waist Hips Wrist Neck Forearm Thigh These have been rapidly shrinking for me, despite only losing 1lb a week on average. It's the exercise that does it! x
  • Give it a serious try. I've not eaten dairy for months now, just soy and almond milk. It's honestly not as hard as you think. I used to have a constant post-nasal drip which has cleared up in the last few months. Couldn't believe it. It's these small changes that make you realise how important diet is in eliminating little…
  • Pretty darn good, well done! You got what i'm getting aswell - I don't know if it's just less of a slump because i'm not carrying as much weight around the belly and obviously some weight has came off my boobs (creating less of a heavy sag), but they seem to have lifted themselves up and became perkier! Sorry don't mean to…
  • Well done, congratulations! Must have been all the more fun doing it as a family aswell :-)
  • When I started I walked for 30 mins nearly every day then after a couple of weeks when I felt I wanted to (and could) jog I got good jogging trainers, a hefty sports bra and donned the tracksuit bottoms. If you try and run before you can walk fast you might find your shins/ankles get extremely painful. I'd try walking…
  • I'd love to climb Ben Nevis! I definitely recommend taking up rock climbing btw, it's great! If you take an introductory course they'll ease you into it slowly, and to be honest you're too busy concentrating on foot and hand holds to realise how high you are!
  • Me too. It's nothing to worry about, after reading a few articles I found that it indicates good blood flow (the face has many small capillaries causing the blood to rush to the surface during the cooling process of the body during exercise). For me it has never gone away with improved fitness, even used to happen when I…
  • Day 1) Walk/jog for 30 mins Day 2) Rest Day 3) Indoor rock climbing for 2 or 3 hours Day 4) Rest Day 5) Aerobics 30 mins Day 6) Walk/jog 30 mins Day 7) Rest Sometimes I go for a walk on my rest days if my muscles aren't aching so much that they are screaming for mercy!
  • Well done you look great! The same thing is happening to me, i'm not losing any weight at the moment but i've came down a dress size. I think it's because i've been exercising a bit more lately, so must just be converting fat to muscle...I hope! xx
  • Usually red with fibre but that's cos i'm vegan. The advantage is it flushes poop out your system alot and helps with the detoxification process making you feel less heavy in the stomach area, even after meals lol xx
  • I find that if it becomes too easy my body stops responding, so just step it up notch by notch or try to vary your activities. It has worked for me. I do rock climbing for strength, jogging and aerobics for cardio and just general toning exercises for muscles and try to vary this through the weeks xxx
  • Congratulations that is amazing how you are turning your life around and very inspiring to others. Keep up the good work! xx
  • Congratulations! Great difference this will definitely inspire others, I agree you look much younger :) xxxx
  • That's great well done. It's such a good feeling isnt it! I started at 82kg which JUST tipped me into obese...I had randomly checked my BMI one day a short while ago out of curiosity since my friends were talking about the recent development of the "global fat scale"....couldn't actually believe I was classed as obese! It…
  • Hi there, I can't really comment on the health issues but if it's any use I used this website to kickstart my vegan diet and I lost about 2kg in 3 weeks using it. Once i'd stuck to the plan for a few weeks I just started to mix and match my meals and develop some nice recipes like quinoa/tofu mixed with vegetables, and…
  • Hi there i'm pretty much exactly the same. Currently about 80kg which is 176 pounds and aiming for 62kg, around 137 pounds :-) Seems a pretty healthy weight in terms of BMI but if my weight evens out slightly higher than that and I feel healthy I won't mind. Not bothered about being stick thin, just healthy! Good luck,…
  • Congratulations. Honestly people underestimate the guts it takes to admit you need to lose weight, never mind the strength and willpower to accomplish it. Well, you have! And you look bloomin' marvellous. Give it time, you'll eventually realise that those small things are nothing compared to what you've achieved and you…
  • Brocolli is so nutritional I find it great to just put it as a side to any meal I make. Just boil it up for 6-7 minutes until the stalks are soft, and pop it in a separate bowl to what you're eating and just pick away through the meal. I don't really use it much in the actual meal because good recipes with it in are hard…
  • Hi there i'm 5'6'' and my goal is 137, only because that will be the middle of "normal weight" for me in terms of BMI. I wouldn't mind if my weight naturally settled slightly higher than that, as long as I feel healthy.
