Glad that I could be of some help :) I'm pretty new here myself but I have been using this trick for awhile after my mom was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. Had to find healthier ways for us to eat. She has lost 65 lbs and now I am finally getting my butt in gear 100% too. *high five* Best of luck to you in your journey!

It will get crispy on the edges and stay a bit softer under the sauce part. I find it's in between chewy and crispy on the bottom and a bit softer on top, similar to other pizza crusts. I suppose you could pre-cook your tortilla a bit if you like a crispier crust :)
-
That does have a tendency to happen. I leave mine in a bit longer and there are also pizza pans with tiny holes in them if one was so inclined. Think they help that issue :)
-
Yep, they're relatively guilt-free :D The tortillas are a godsend, especially if you compare them to the bleached flour ones (oh Lordy).

US here :) But I love people from the UK! I was just having a political debate with my Welsh friend today. It's enjoyable hearing perspectives across the pond, and I'm always learning new words and phrases. My new favorite is "getting stick" and calling the garbage can the "wheely (sp?) bin"

There's a difference between working out with heavy friends for support and then expecting the general public to pay monthly to take your class and look to you for guidance. I can't imagine having the gall to sign up to teach a fitness class right now. I should be the one taking the class, and then maybe I can think about…

I don't think I'd care to have an overweight fitness instructor either. We don't appreciate when hairstylists have crappy hair and dentists have a mouth full of rotten teeth. It's the same thing, really. I want to see that the class actually makes an impact, you know? I thought about joining my local Y when I hit my…

I just laughed my @$$ off at this. Thanks!!

UGH!!! Those See-You-In-TEES!!! They either need the worst verbal burn in human history that makes them feel ashamed of themselves for at least a decade, or a legitimate smackdown.

It's not every day you run into God in the bathroom.

That's a good idea. Think I might too until I can hit the same goal as OP.

True Blood and Korean dramas :D

Interesting topic :) What I will pay for: -someone to mow the lawn: bees/wasps/etc. terrify me. I had one fly down my shirt when I was trying to mow a few years back and it was not good. -repairs I could not possible do on my own: electrical, car, plumbing, etc. -Aloha Bay candles. They smell good, are eco-friendly and…

If my cats showed signs of a panic attack I would give up on the idea. They actually love being outdoors like the girl's cat above. As far as leashes go, I only use those for an occasional "meander" about the yard. And you could apply your first point to dogs too, I'd think. On an amusing note, every time my cats see me…
-
I know some people have had luck with the leash/walking thing. It's probably as rare as finding a cat who likes water :P And I hope my cats will love their stroller as much as yours did!
-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcCvXr2jAco&feature=fvwrel It's more of a "meander," as pointed out in the comments. lol!

It's going to take one hell of a dog to overpower a 6' tall girl with a baseball bat. And, yes, I do think they're made pretty darn sturdy even if I couldn't fell the beast. I mean, you've got me thinking of Cujo or the Hound of the Baskervilles here. lol

It's a long, heartbreaking story but I had to get rid of my dog after a family split. In my teens, my mom permitted me a cat as they were lower maintenance in the cleanup department. How I ended up getting a brother and sister cat is also a long story. Anyway, my cats pee in the car 80% of the time so now I have to plan…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DuZmAHglus Here's an example of one. Prepare to crack up at that guy's "cat voice," it's hilarious. They're completely covered and most cats seem to love them!

Thanks! I will update the thread with some more pictures after I get the stroller :)

Simba (first cat pictured) was pushing 17 lbs last time I checked and Skittles would add another 13.... my poor back has enough of a burden already! lol (It is a good idea though for those in better shape and with only one pet to haul around)
-
Definitely will :)

This is true. They are nearly 13 in people years and are very healthy and playful from keeping them inside, groomed, fed healthy and given plenty of fresh water. I wish I could figure out how to get them leash trained, but I'm thinking the stroller may be safer anyway since there are some loose dogs in the neighborhood…

Dog owners get to enjoy taking their dogs for walks. Cat owners often lament their lack of being able to do this. Seeing how my cats stare out the window, yearning for an adventure, I figure this will kill two birds with one stone. I get my exercise, and the cats get to see the outdoors. Seriously, you ought to see the way…

I apologize in advance for the novel. I have been in your shoes more times than I can count. I'm a recovering binge eater and my downfall is sweets. Thanks to using sweets as a stress coping mechanism, I've packed on over 100 pounds and could have easily continued. One of the most important things I can offer is to let go…

This thread makes me feel huge, lol. I'm 5'11" and MFP has me at 1900 calories to lose 1.5 lbs a week. I've been thinking about adjusting to try and lose 2 lbs a week. Even then, I'll probably still be at 1700 or 1800! I've tried 1200 calories before and I was getting headaches and feeling fainty. I've tried 1500 and same…

(Referring to poster who watched "Devil" ) That movie had quite an interesting conclusion :)

Oh man, those kinds of movies are small potatoes to me :P I love stuff like Ju-On (the first two were the best), The Ring, Tale of Two Sisters, Insidious, The Innkeepers, The Shining, etc. Can't wait until October because I love sitting in my living room with a few candles burning and watching scary movies. If I get too…
