Congrats on those first 30 pounds. I've heard people say those are the hardest, and once you've got that done, it's easier to just keep on going. Great job, I can really see the difference!!

Such impressive results! I bet that girlfriend thing sorted itself out real quick :P

I wouldn't call your before pictures "*kitten*" at all...but you look jaw-droppingly fit over there on the right. Well done!!

I am doing C25K too and I love it! My lung capacity and conditioning were very, very horrible before I started. I barely made it to one minute without feeling like I couldn't get a proper breath and my heart going insane trying to beat out of my chest. I'm on week 3 as of this upcoming Monday, but I have already tested out…

This is a fun thread :P There are a few for me. 1) weird things in bed (I'm talking Chuck-Palahniuk-novel weird) 2) estrange myself from loved ones and friends 3) give up my cats Edit: After reading some of the other replies to this thread, I'm wondering if I should just stay single. LOL!

One of the most impressive before and afters I've seen!! Thanks for sharing, and you look lovely!

This is my favorite thread I've come across on MFP, truly. Your before and afters are just amazing, not to mention the setback you had in the very beginning. You're my fitness hero :)

Wow!!! I like that you're doing what works for you instead of trying to adhere to some strict regimen. I also admire that you're going to the gym 4-5 times a week :) Keep up the great work!

What an achievement!! You're looking great:) Best of luck on the rest of your journey.

This was an amazing post. Thank you for sharing. People have no idea how much emotions and eating are connected for some people. They want to make it out to be such a simple thing, as if going for the ice cream or chips was a conscious decision. I used to find myself in front of the fridge not even realizing I had walked…

For the first time maybe ever, I ran ten minutes in a row. I'm coming from a fitness level of "severe pain in the side when attempting to run," so it's a pretty big deal for me. And onward I go :)

Wow. You look younger, you're glowing, you look happy! Way to go and good luck with the last 50 :)
-
You inspire me so much...and that's something I'm really low on right now. Thanks, and you're looking great as always ^__^

I'm from Danville (East Central IL) :)

Immediate gratification is the cause of so many regrets, it's true.

**Not using this article as justification to stay heavy though!

I went from being able to run 2 minutes to almost 10 straight in just two weeks and my good friend thinks I'm a heart attack waiting to happen. Lol...I've never felt better! Running ain't just for the skinny things buddy!

Around February of 2010 on a international pen pal website :) I was there trying to learn some Korean and this fellow from Wales sent me a lengthy message and I could tell he had gone to the trouble of reading my entire profile. Normally I just ignored messages from guys who I could tell had ulterior motives, but he was…

Thanks for sharing!! I bookmarked the thread :)

You did well raising him! Congratulations to him for his achievements. I am so happy for people when they can do something for a living that they're passionate about.

Watermelon has that effect on me  Luckily the necessary room is just a door away...

You are looking great! Congratulations on taking your health into your own hands. I know lots of people are able to keep diabetes in check through diet and exercise. I'm trying to do the same for PCOS :)

To some people who'd rather mind your business than their own. I found this out yesterday when a food snob told me my diet was terrible, disgusting, etc. I locked my food diary, then rethought it and unlocked it. Screw it. I'm here to lose weight, not be a nutrition guru. I know what I SHOULD eat. I don't always do it.

I gotcha :) I haven't been athletic since the 6th grade when I was in basketball. I was one of the tallest in my class (stand at 5'11" currently), so my mom pressured me into it. I loved the warm-ups, especially the running. I got so conditioned and was just a few pounds overweight. Then junior high happened, and then high…

First of all, that's incredible. Not only losing the 50lbs in just 10 weeks, but the running thing. If you get just a second, could you tell me a bit about your experience with running? I've just started myself a little over a week ago. I found a website that helps you ease into running a straight 30 minutes in just 10…

I'll be an oddball here and say, "In light clothing, usually with shoes, at any time of day, on my Wii balance board." I figure it might be off, but if I always weigh like that I will eventually see the difference. Plus the Wii allows you to select how heavy you estimate your clothing to be. Unfortunately it encourages you…

You're looking great, Edwin! I can see a difference from your other after picture. I think all those core exercises are paying off.

If you were not a lawyer, you could have been a writer :) I have been trying to do the same thing. Incorporate things that I'm craving, but limit myself. Yesterday it didn't go so well, but I am trying to recalibrate today.
-
Yesterday I had my first binge in about 20 days that pushed me 530 calories over my limit. It was a reaction to stress and hormones, and I know I could have been stronger if I could have it to do over again. What I told myself is, "Just get it out of your system." And I did - we had some things I was portioning myself well…

Wow, that sounds delicious though!!
