great link, her lower abd flattening-moves looks great, too! THIS Tiffany Rothe video, from the link you posted, has a move, VERY similar to the one i was trying to describe, about bending forward, holding onto something, and moving one's leg up and out, TIL YOU FEEL that spot where your muffin top area…

why do you mock me? {edit: why would anyone here feel the need to mock anyone here who IS being sincere and either asking for help, or trying to encourage someone else asking for help? what's the point in that behavior? how is that helping? } why do you mock my suggestion of an exercise for her to try? why do you think…

TO THE OP, DO JOIN A SUBGROUP, to get out of the main forums. :indifferent: In subgroups, people DO share exercise ideas.

////"There's no argument that one CAN change the shape of their body"//// YES! I AGREE!! That is what i said! YAY!! I think we probably agree that exercise CAN change the shape of a body part, too!! (did not realize there really ARE people who don't "believe" that! wow!):noway: but you can call it "re…

I saw a post where a person posted before and after photos, she weighed 130 in her before picture, and was lumpy, flabby, had a flabby round tummy, and said she had back fat rolls, too. in her after picture, she weighed 133, and had a very small waist, and looked quite buff. she changed shape but not her weight. (yeah,…

btw, TO THE OP, congratulations on your weight loss!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD FOR YOU!!!:drinker:

not necessarily. one can wear too tight of a waistband, and have the seat of pants be long enough and loose enough there's no camel toe. one can wear a skirt too tight, so that muffin tops appear, and have no camel toe. one could have on pants with loose enough waistband, and still have the seat of pants be too short, too…

oh yeah, guess that is true....

i think this person IS right, too, if you wear appropriately sized clothing your shape will be less distorted into "extra" curves which are not even there when you are nude.

As well as weight loss, one can do pilates for free, there are free videos on youtube. I do a few pilates type of stretches/toning moves, which seem to be helping reshape me. One i do, for muffin top areas, is i lean forward, so my top half is almost parallel to the floor, and hold onto bedpost, or a kitchen bar stool, and…

wow, i so agree. at some point, i will have to process and think about how i let myself get this far gone, but, i am saving that for later. right now, i am focusing on the future, on getting well again, on gaining strength, both internal and external. lol, this thread sort of sounds like a post i just made on this other…

this thread contains links to watch a most fascinating documentary, called "Weight of the Nation" http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/697736--weight-of-the-nation and one of the 4 parts contains some highlights on some various companies who began their very own fitness programs, which i found VERY inspirational. I…

TO THE OP, this is great you realize this IS a health risk!! You can also do exercises at your desk, Like pumping your calves up and down, sitting with great posture, sucking in your stomach, isometric muscle tightening, etc. If you google "exercises to do at a desk" tons of sites pop up. You could set a buzzer to go off…

TO THE OP, DO HANG IN THERE. You did it once, you CAN DO IT AGAIN. one step at a time. one day at a time. one healthy step, can lead to another healthy step being taken, one after the other. No one can make you feel crappy without your consent. change the tape in your head, i know, easier to say than do, but you are the…

just jumping in, haven't read the pages of discussion, but, i found out the hard way, to avoid the chitchat area, but ONE GOOD THING the chitchat threads provide for *me*, is relief i AM older. Even a quick scan of the chitchat threads, make me celebrate i am mature, and help me realize i am smarter than i'd been giving…

welcome! i am new to MFP too, like it very much so far, and have a lot of hope for a return to health again!!

btw, it is possible to teach a child the beliefs of all the various religions, (which is handy for any person to know) WITHOUT INDOCTRINATING THEM. i know, cuz i did it. I gave my children the info on ALL major religions, so they'd have outline of those beliefs and rules and holidays, etc. THIS CAN BE DONE AT HOME, (i was…

About your mother's denial, for some people, the very word "atheist" still needs some PR work................ sorry, no idea why i can't get entire comic to show up....now, i put it into paint, added white border to the side that keeps getting cropped off, and resized it a bit, so now, you probably have to increase size of…

i wondered the same thing. Having a child indoctrinated, daily, before he reaches the age of reason, is NOT "letting him make his own choice". If an adult had NEVER ever ever heard they should worship a cosmic jewish zombie, who make you live forever, if you symbolically eat his flesh and drink his blood, whle…

TO THE OP http://atheistuniverse.net/ I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THE SITE ABOVE STRONGLY ENOUGH. do join, (it's free) and post your questions there, AS WELL AS visit that site daily. Belonging to that site, and learning so so much there, HAS helped me hone and develop an even bigger worldview than i previously had. Belonging to…

Hi, i haven't read all the posts above, just jumping in. I have been atheist probably longer than most of you have been alive. I am NOT living for a prize and big party after i am dead. My life has the meaning i choose to give it. As an atheist, i have lived a very very full, meaningful life, full of joy and love, and i…

I didn't see this thread, when i started THIS thread: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/717064-maybe-there-is-no-starvation-mode-read-this?page=1 but, that thread does have an interesting article that some of you might like to read. I am NOT very active, (yet) and i can't eat allll 1200 calories, or i don't lose even…

btw, i am new here, still figuring it out as i go along, but, seems that for me, i have to eat juuuust a tad less than 1200 per day to lose even an ounce. BUT, i think this might be, because i am NOT very active, (yet) and maybe when i clicked on lowest activity level MFP offers, that even THAT might be more calories per…

CONGRATS!!!! Kudos on the weight loss!! I am new here, still figuring ti out, but, it seems that i have to slide in just a tad under 1200 for any weight loss to occur. But, i am NOT a very active person (yet) so perhaps MFP's idea of a low activity person is even more than what i do (yet). to the poster above me, here is…

http://www.leangains.com/2010/10/top-ten-fasting-myths-debunked.html ^i can not vouch for the accuracy of that article, but, it makes some interesting points. I do not think i have been in starvation mode, and from the article above, it doesn't appear to be a valid concern for every person.

I don't have any advice specific for surgical mentalpause, but here is thread on 'general' mental pause, which your HRT might prevent or greatly reduce. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/637149-what-s-your-best-menopause-survival-tip ^YOUR experience, could be much different, as you will not be dealing with a…

WELCOME! OHhh, now i see why you are on steriods, oh.(from your other thread) Luckily you are not very far gone, only 8 pounds to go, so that is great that you ARE nipping the weight gain in the bud like this! You CAN do this!! How long have you been logging all your food intake? I have found, that the calorie limit for…
