I really like "Pure Protein 100% Whey Powder" in the chocolate flavor. 25g protein, 3g carbs, 3g fat. I mix it with ice, almond milk, sweetener, and unsweetened cocoa powder and it's delicious :)

I used to die trying to run for even 3 minutes. And I used to hate running. I sucked it up and slowly built up to 6 minutes, then a mile, then two... now I run 2-3 miles almost every day and I love it :)

The only way to ruin your weight loss is to stop trying. Everyone has set backs along the way, the important thing is to not get discouraged. :)

To put it simply, you have a set amount of fat cells and a set amount of muscle cells. You can either expand or shrink them. So, you can't convert fat to muscle. So when you "burn" fat, it doesn't disappear, the cell just gets smaller.

I was on birth control for about a year, and I gained 20 pounds without changing any of my daily routine. :/ Some people don't gain weight from it, but most people do. I wouldn't go on the pill unless I really had to, if I were you.

I like make a smoothie of a cup of frozen strawberries, half a banana, a cup of unsweetened almond milk, and a spoonful of sweetener. It's delicious and surprisingly filling :) Also, nonfat vanilla greek yogurt with unsweetened cocoa powder and sweetener and some strawberries tastes great and gives a good balance of…

Spaghetti squash (40 calories) with some sort of marinara sauce (50-100 calories.) Very filling and tastes better spaghetti :) String beans and broccoli make a good side.

I love soy milk :) If it's the thickness that's bothering you, I would try Silk Light Soymilk. 30 less calories, and it's a little thinner.

I think that if you completely strip yourself of carbs and fats, or just your favorite foods, you're setting yourself up for a binge. Everything in moderation, especially if you work it off.

if calories didn't matter, i would eat exclusively sweets and junk food. cookies, brownies, cheesecake, milkshakes, pizza... and i would do it nonstop. and i would probably never work out. too bad calories matter :/

I totally relate to feeling gross at the gym. By the time I'm done I'm literally drenched in sweat. What helps me is to just blast my music, not think about it, and remember that everyone else there is sweaty as hell, too.
