  • New to this group but know this truly works. I'm off/on this site but promised myself this weekend that I need to be regular on here again and so glad that I ran across this. Hello everyone.
  • How are your clothes fitting? You may not be losing weight but you may be losing inches. I've heard that when your body is used to the same type of workout, then sometimes you won't lose weight. So maybe you need to switch up something for a few weeks.
  • Every body fall off, been there and done that and in some fashion still doing it. With me not able to work out, I try very hard not to over eat but sometimes I still do and I'm trying not to get bummed out about it. At least I am not gaining which is a good thing. Do you eat snacks between meals? That truly helps me. I…
  • Hello there I'm Elley, even if I can get close to this by October would be great. Haven't been able to exercise in a few weeks due to my feet problems. Thought it was tendonitis flair up went to the podiatrist and he feels it's something else so now have to see a rheumatologist next month. Have to find something that I do…
  • Feel free to add me..
  • I keep pan seared chicken breast in my frig, I diced them up. I make pasta with vegetables, then add some sauteed tomatoes and some cheeses. I usually add some olive oil with a little bit of butter or have enough liquid where I can add a bouillon for taste. Lately though I've been buying stir fry sauces and adding to my…
  • I really don't have a actual goal weight right now at least. But I can say I am on 10 pound increments, every 10 pounds lost truly helps my knees.
  • Sorry to hear about your friend but you are so right on the spot with this. I go by how my clothes fit by losing inches not the scale.
  • I drink more water. This is the longest I've ever tracked my food, etc. I try to eat more fruit and vegetables. But the main thing is whenever I have a bad eating day, I don't consider myself a failure and give up like I used to do yearssssssssss ago. Now I just try to exercise more that day or if I don't do that, I don't…
  • My meat is chicken. I hardly eat red meat and I'm trying to eat more fish. Regarding your questions for vegetarians and vegans on parties, etc. I've noticed that some places that I go, they always have something for them whether it's a pasta dish, additional green salads or vegetable dish, etc.. I work with a vegetarian…

  • I do Walking Away the Pounds with toning bands or chords. I get an all body work out and burn serious calories.
  • Can the choir say amen...!!! AMEN.
  • Hello and welcome...please feel free to add me.
  • I eat what I want but in moderation. I still have fried chicken, etc... but not every day and I watch what time I'm going to have it. Like today, someone brought fried chicken for the staff for lunch. Yes I had some but tonight I will have something light and make sure that I do a work out. Yearsssssssssss ago when I used…
  • Just remember just because it's healthy, don't mean that's it HEALTHY. You have to look at the ingredients, serving size, etc. Plus it all depends on what you can digest and what your body can and can't have. It all depends on what you can afford as well, sometimes eating healthy packs a punch on your wallet. For me, I…
  • When I had my health coach last year, I was talking to her about soda. I drink regular soda. The additives in diet soda give me a headache or have an after taste. I knew that I wasn't going to give up soda. So she said drink a can instead of a bottle. I drink plenty of water anyway. She also said that since I know that I'm…
  • I do the Walk Away the Pounds series. They have different ones for different fitness levels. They range from 1-5 miles, at least the last one I brought was 5 miles. You can break down the miles too, if you don't have time to do 2-3, etc. miles, just do one. You get a great work out. What I love about those, it's a total…
  • I do Walking Away the Pounds. It's a total body workout and I use toning bands or chords with all of my workouts. I started doing the 5 mile walk...I burned 1260 calories. It truly work and it's cheaper then the other ones you mentioned. What I like about this series, because she have a lot of dvd's, if you don't have the…
  • I started with the average for me 1800 to 2000. Then I went down to 1400, with my work out and adding calories because of what I burn, I decided that the 1400 is good. Even when they add calories because of my work out, I just try not to go over 2000 since that is the normal calorie range for me. Remember too, if your…
  • I keep 100 calorie snacks, fruit cups, yogurt...I try to just do single serving snacks. Me counting out crackers form a big box is ridiculous. I cook an entire bag of frozen or fresh chicken breast. However, I cut it up in cubes, spice it up and cook with a little olive oil. I just keep this in the frig for quick meals…
  • Chocolate but with something salty, fried chicken. For some reason I crave the chocolate with something salty, after meals. Sometimes I do have something, sometimes I can do other things and get my mind off of it. But if I still want it after 30-60 minutes then I get something. If I continue to wait, it will get ugly with…
  • Howdy.. I had a hysterectomy many years ago and I couldn't wait to have it done. But you have to remember that it took years for us to put on this weight so it's going to take time to get it off. I have been a yo-yo dieter to many times to mention. Last year though, my attitude about this changed. I no longer look at this…
  • Many ions ago, when my son was a toddler, that was the only time I got to work out was after he was asleep. I remember just having a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. A lot of calories are burnt during an hour workout. I just knew that if I just ate a piece of fruit, I will wake up in the middle of the night looking for…
  • I think some people eat a lot of empty calorie foods. I know when I have a big work out and eat up my calories, I need to eat something more then fruit and vegetables. I need FOOD.. Even if you're not on a "diet", the daily calories for the majority of people is between 1800 and 2000. To many people are starving themselves.
  • They are good but if you eat a pack (2), it's 400 calories...!!! I don't eat them as much as I used to but they are good for a quick fix if you're running out of time for breakfast or lunch.
  • I eat about every two hours..meal and then a snack...type of routine. So right about eating your calories that you burn off.
  • I say fudge bars or make up something crazy. My 20 yo son just looks at me and laugh. He say why don't you say it, I say because the Lord says not to...SMILE.
  • I didn't take it personally. I'm not a trainer or medical professional to debate this. I just thought it was a good article. For many years they have said that green tea is great for weight loss, I don't know if it is. Just like any articles regarding fitness, exercising, ect. You have to see if the contents in the article…
  • Remember also water weight which can add a pound of two. I get weighed every other week at my doctors. I do not have a scale at home, used to many ions ago and got rid of it. Just don't let it disappoint you. As long as you know you are working out and eating healthy that's all that matters. I don't go by the scale. I go…
