I've done both. I'm currently doing 3x12, i've done 5x10, 5x5, 3x8. Whatever you do, you won't get bulky. It takes a lot more than just lifting for anyone to get bulky.

I go 6 days a week, but I don't do the same thing every day. I alternate cardio and resistance, I'm there 1-2 hours depending on what kind of workout I'm doing. Do what makes you feel good, but make sure you give your body a chance to rest :)

Cute guy + good cook + good personality = clear your schedule for the foreseeable future

Nope. found my bf at the bar...happy hour at a dive bar, people, it was tame :P
-
Truth be told, I wasn't initially attracted to my bf when I first met him (hopefully he doesn't ever read this!), but then we started talking and I found out he's quirky and not afraid to show it. He's passionate and not money-driven. His dad is his best friend. He likes to dress nice and smell good, that's just a perk :P…

I'm 5'1" and currently 123lbs. I'm extremely happy with where I'm at but I'm still working on cutting that that little bit of belly bulge. I'm doing different ab exercises every day so I'm hoping that'll do the trick :)

25, SW 160ish, CW 123 (at last weigh-in...a few weeks ago) i switched to maintenance last week but i'm keeping my stats at 1/2lb per week loss through the end of the year. it's hard to keep up the change now that i've hit my goal but i'm working at it!
-
Cheat day, definitely. At my height and maintenance calories, there's no way I can make it through Thanksgiving without going over!

I've had too many bad sunburns to risk it. I used to go tanning and I loved the golden look it gave me, but when it comes to a temporary color vs a lifetime risk of skin cancer, I prefer to keep my freckles as they are.

Thanks very much all! I never thought it was possible...proof that anyone can do it!

I was scared about it. I loved my butt! 40 lbs later and I'm not thrilled about how small it's gotten, but it's still got some curve. And the boy is pretty fond of it, too :P

25, not married and no kids. working. 5'1", CW 124, almost at maintenance. working on the abs. i used to hate running but now i feel so accomplished when i finish up and beat an old record!

I'm 5'1" and my original GW was 126. I currently weigh 124 and I'm happy but I still want to cut some more.
-
you can do it! i take a full cheat day once a week, no logging anything. i've lost nearly 40 pounds that way. for the first six months of my lifestyle change, i was pretty strict all week long, but now that i'm nearly at maintenance i've relaxed it a bit while still trying to stick to my numbers. the first month was the…

I'm 5'1", SW 160(ish). I started out eating around 1350, not eating back my exercise calories. As I gradually lost weight, i started eating back some of my exercise calories. I'm currently 124lbs, eating back most of my exercise calories, and I have a weigh-in next week to see how that's working out for me. MFP has my…

5'1" HW: 160ish LW: 124 CW: 124 GW: 120(?) depends on how i feel

I do a variety of exercises and my arms have never looked better. For my triceps, I do dips, skull crushers, rope pushdowns, and tricep kickbacks. Pushups will definitely work multiple muscle groups, as they take a bit more balance and force your core to work, too. Don't be afraid of doing the same exercises that the guys…

I've lost around 35 pounds and still drink beer...or liquor, depending on how I'm feeling. Once a week, usually, because that's about all I can afford. My "cheat day" is every Saturday, so I try to make that my bar night, and it hasn't harmed me at all. I don't count calories at all that day, but the weight has still come…

I'm just a month older than you and just started in a new relationship. Neither one of us is in any rush to get married, and we're just enjoying our time with each other. Take your time, enjoy your life, and make sure you get to know yourself. Confidence is sexy!

That's basically how I've been going since I started and I've never hit a plateau. I started tracking in April, I think, and I've lost about 1.5lbs/wk. I don't log at all on Saturdays, which has been a benefit to me, I think. If I knew all those numbers, I might've gone crazy and done something to screw up the work I'd put…

I love this! I just started getting back into running within the past few months, and I want to do a few races next year, culminating in my first 10 mile race. I was wondering when I could be considered a runner. I used to say I hated running, but as my endurance increases I'm finding I hate it less and less. Thanks!

Sweat drips down my arms when I'm working out. By the time I'm done, you can see the color change all over my shirt (and sometimes my pants...that's why I try to stick to black pants when I'm working out :P). The tears of fat as it dies ever so slowly :)

this. nuclear, people. only one "u"!

I would recommend alternating blading, jogging, and walking. If you stick with one exercise for too long, your body will get used to it and your weight loss/muscle development will slow down or plateau completely. With blading, you also want to be careful with coasting...the wheels wind up doing the work, instead of your…

Yup. My ribs stick out weird so when I'm fit, people think I don't weigh enough. I'm hoping my ab exercises will even that out so I can look almost normal wearing a fitted shirt :\

Just finished Mockingjay of The Hunger Games series. I know it's YA but I love it :P About to start The Motorcycle Diaries by el Che :)

The other day, I was finishing up my jog on the treadmill and a guy (who was circling the pull up machine while I was on it the day before) jumped up on the treadmill next to me, introduced himself, and asked me for my name. I lost focused and caught my foot on the side of the machine, almost tripping over. I'm not at the…
