  • My favorite was boars head chipotle chicken. Since I want to avoid nitrates, I make it myself now. It's cheaper, healthier and better tasting,

  • I haven't had fast food in about 10 years and do not miss it at all.
  • Chef's knife and Instant Pot.
  • I usually bring a single serving bag of Enlightened Sriracha Roasted Broad Beans
  • I use both olive and avocado oil. Since avocado oil has a high smoke point, I use that for sautéing and anything using a high cooking temperature. I use olive more for finishing and dressings. Both are healthy.
  • When my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer, one of the first things the doctor from Sloan Kettering said was no sugar. Although I hadn't eaten food with added sugar in a few years prior to her diagnosis (not due to any medical condition), it sure did affirm my belief in my decision to cut out sugar and grains.

  • Many things other than meat have protein. You can also have beans, nuts, eggs...and forget about the powder.

  • It's been over 4 years for me and have no problems sticking with it. To me, dragging a scale out every time I put something in my mouth is too restrictive for me. I guess it's all about priorities and sugar and grains definitely aren't on the top of my list. This woe makes me feel better and that is at the top of my list.…
  • It's so funny to me how angry and defensive people get when someone has great results eating any other way than CICO. If it works for them and is not detrimental in any way to a persons health, why such anger?
  • That's great! Do you listen to Vinnie Tortorich's podcast? I've been off of sugar and grains for years and never plan on going back. I have never felt restricted and have endless energy. I was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's but was totally non-symptomatic even though my levels were way off. My endocrinologist said…
  • I have never and would never track and have maintained for years.

  • I like umeboshi vinegar, olive oil and a bit of pepper.
  • I roast various vegetables (zucchini, cauliflower, asparagus, red pepper, etc.) and put them in a large pyrex (either sprayed with oil or wiped with ghee) with a couple of handfuls of spinach. Add egg whites to cover and bake at 350 until the egg is set. I make this…
  • I am headed to Sprindale and Sedona for a 9 day hiking vacation with my daughter and am trying to come up with ideas as well. I soaked and dehydrated a bunch of nuts and am taking some packages of enlightened fava beans. So far, that's all I got.
  • The same as every morning. Egg white and roasted vegetable casserole topped with chicken verde, salsa and kimchi.
  • Take a look at the first post. It will give you a lot of information. https://www.reddit.com/r/mealprepsunday
  • I'm up at 3 and on my way to the gym by 4:30 and I find the easiest, best tasting and nutritious breakfast to be an egg white casserole with roasted vegetables. I make a big pyrex dish and each morning cut a large piece, top it with chicken verde and throw it in the microwave then top with salsa. Less than 5 minutes from…
