stuffed delicata squash! i think this close to the recipe my mom uses. it's 526 calories per serving, but very filling. you could probably switch out some ingredients to make it lower fat/lower cal, etc... http://find.myrecipes.com/recipes/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&recipe_id=10000001842377 butternut squash soup…

i don't make a cheat meal or a cheat day a weekly (or even monthly) ritual that i get to look forward too because i'm trying not to reward myself with food. but i don't deny myself a small portion of something if i REALLY want it. i also agree with an earlier poster about eating "normal" foods and eating mostly things i…

welcome mirah and patty! :) i also use the food diary and exercise tracker every day. i also love the supportive MFP community. if i ever need encouragement or have a question about anything, i just post on the message boards and get quick responses. it's great! and addictive!

hey, you're still on here posting and reaching out for help instead of sitting around, feeling ashamed and spiraling out of control! that is a huge success. seize the moment: plan a healthy, low cal dinner and take a leisurely walk just to get yourself moving again. you will lose the weight again (and then some!).…

unagi nigiri and a rainbow roll is my my usual dinner when i go out for sushi. although, tamago (sweet egg) nigiri has been a favorite since i was little, so sometimes i'll get that. oh, and last week i had a spicy tuna roll with unagi and avocado on top! it was SO good. chirashi (different kinds of sashimi in a bowl over…

i think your point about poverty and poor people in urban areas hit the nail right on the head. we keep our poor people poor by denying access to basic education and preventative health care. i think fast food corporations have a huge part in this as well. they market to minorities and single mothers in poorer urban areas…

but i also don't celebrate christmas, so i christmas dinner is not a worry for me. thanksgiving is my holiday meal.
-
i'm SO not logging. i will watch my portions and try to fill up on healthier stuff (salad, baked yams, white meat turkey, etc.) and i won't eat to the point of physical pain. hahaha. but i don't want to feel guilty about anything on thanksgiving. the only thing i need to be accountable for on thanksgiving is cooking some…

eating less than 1200 calories a day because you are afraid of gaining weight sounds restrictive to me. you say yourself that you have obsessive thoughts about food. it is a common misconception that you must be severely underweight to have an eating disorder. a lot of people don't get diagnosed because they are a…

polynesia consists of over 1,000 islands in the pacific ocean (including hawaii, tonga, samoa, and new zealand). so, the dancing styles vary significantly, but i'm guessing the class offers a version of hula. i would totally check out that class if i were you! here's a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIc2fuSByhE…
