I like the friends I have made because they help encourage me along the way. I can read about their struggles and push myself knowing they are in the same boat as me. My friends are usually people like me...either over 40 or have over 50 lbs to lose. It is really motivating!

I have about 70 more lbs to lose, but can relate to much of what you said. I have type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, borderline cholesterol and snoring was getting out of control (actually was starting to cause issues with hubby of 27 years). Since losing only 15 lbs and exercising 4-5 times per week, my blood sugars…

Amazing transformation. You can be proud at what you have accomplished! Keep up the hard work.

I do add the cardio workouts in the Wii, but not the strength/yoga. If you did this for a significant amount of time, you could look up and add as Yoga, perhaps. I usually don't have enough time to do more than 10 or 15 minutes in the morning before work, and hardly ever spend any real significant time with the strength…

Ashley, Don't beat yourself up about your weight loss. The lbs are coming off and that is a step in the right direction! Just think where you were 2 months ago or a year ago...you are making steps NOW to change your behavior and get healthy. If I were to offer you advise, don't focus on the big picture. Set smaller goals,…

I don't think I "see" myself in the dreams. I see everyone else and they are younger and healthier/skinnier than in real life, but I am looking through my own eyes. Does that make sense? I'll have to think about it when I next remember my dreams.

I just sent you a friend request. I have been on this journey since 1/3/13 and have dropped nearly 15 lbs. I would love to support you on your quest. We have a similar amount of weight we would both like to lose. Keep up the hard work! WE CAN DO THIS!

Welcome to MFP! You have started, and that is the first step. You can do this! Set small goals, but keep the long term goal in sight. Every day, get up and think that today is a new day (whether the day before was a good day or a bad day). Then log everything you eat and all the exercise you get into the tool. You will…

I just sent you a friend request. I have about 70 lbs to lose and too have a unhealthy relationship with food. Already in 5 weeks, I am learning what I can and cannot eat. It is definitely a learning process! I am a mother of 3 (although they are most likely much older than your kiddos) and know that the unhealthy eating…

HI, You can do this! Welcome to MFP. that is the first step. The next step is to honestly and faithly enter everything you eat and all of your exercise. If you do this, you will start seeing results. Feel free to add me. On a side note, I grew up in Racine. Went to Goodland, Starbuck and Case. I'm a bit older than you and…

Welcome to MFP! If you are honest and faithful about entering everything you eat (good and bad) and start moving and tracking that as well, you will begin to see the results. I am sending you a friend request.

Hi Bear, I just sent you a friend request. It takes hard work and dedication to make this work. I have been serious since 1/3/13 and have already officially dropped 13 lbs. It is by staying true to myself and tracking everything I eat and all the exercise I get. You can do this too, if you make the commitment! Keep up the…

I am sorry to hear about your loss. Life can be really difficult and there can be so many roadblocks and obstacles along the way. My dad passed away 14 years ago, so I know the pain. It sounds like you are know that you cannot continue in the path that you have and your MFP friends will help support you along the way. You…

Do you do shakes for all meals or just a couple of times a day? I know I couldn't to do that. I like food too much! I find that for me, real food and real exercise is what is working for me. I am down nearly 13 lbs in 5 weeks. It is slow, but steady.

Welcome to MFP! You have made it over the first hurdle by signing up and posting your first thread. The key to your success is entering in the food you eat and the exercise and you will begin to see results. There are so many inspirational stories on the Success Stories threads and you will find people that are in a…

I just sent you a friend request. I would love to support you on this journey! It has helped me a lot in the 5 weeks I have been using MFP. If you are honest and open about what you eat and exercise and try to release those old bad habits, you will have success!!!

Welcome to MFP! The first step is a hard one and by opening up, you have allowed others to support you along the way. I will send you a friend request and will support you along this journey! :)

I would love to be your friend along this journey. Please add me. It really has helped me keep motivated! We can do this!

I am from Wisconsin, live just north of Milwaukee. While I won't be getting to the Anytime Fitness in Burlington, I would love to be your friend and help support/motivate you along the way. It looks like we have similar goals! Keep up the hard work!

I have been on MFP for a little over a month. I have had success losing weight with WW, but when I get past my introductory price, then I don't want to spend the money any longer. Once I go off and am no longer counting my points, I just don't make the effort and gain back what I have lost. On MFP, it is a lot easier for…

Welcome to MFP. If you faithfully and honestly enter everything you eat and the exercise you get, you will get results. You will need to figure out what works for your body, but I know you can do it!

Welcome to MFP! With honest and daily tracking of your food and exercise, you will start to notice a change. I have read and there seems to be a good support group for PCOS, so you should be able to find some good friends that can help you through your challenges. Work hard and I know you will achieve your goals.

My calories are set at 1270. I do earn anywhere from 200 - 400 calories from exercise. I generally do not eat those back, mainly because I'm not hungry and I am seeing results. However, if I am hungry at night, I may eat something. Nothing worse than relaxing and hearing my stomach growl for food. But that's just how I…

You can do this. Just be honest and open about what you eat and get up and move and you will start to see results. I'll send you a friend request and look forward to watching your progress! Keep up the hard work!!!
