  • You are definitely an inspiration! Congratulations on the hard work. You deserve it!
  • Thank you for this. You have an incredible story and can be really proud of your accomplishments.
  • Welcome! You have made the first step and that is joining and posting asking for friends. After a month on this journey, I am 12 lbs down. Each day is a new day! Add me, if you'd like!
  • Incredible difference! You are doing a fantastic job! Keep up the hard work!
  • I am at the tail-end of a full-blown cold. I have not had the energy to get up to exercise. All I want to do is sleep. Probably the best thing for your body right now, is the rest. Just my opinion. I will be back at the gym tomorrow or Thursday, depending on how I am feeling.
  • I can definitely see a change in your body. Keep up the good work! Congrats!!!
  • You look amazing. Keep up the hard work!!! :)
  • I started on 1/3 and have lost 11 lbs. Good job! I have a bit more to lose than you, but am always looking for friends to help me along the way. How has the first (almost) month gone? Are you navigating around MFP pretty well? Are you exercising?

  • Amazing progress! It has got to feel good to see some results. I didn't read all the posts, but am wondering, how you are achieving these results - just diet or are you exercising and if so, what kind of exercises? Keep up the good work!
  • You may need to talk to your doctor or a nutritionist to find out what is going on. They might be able to offer some healthy suggestions. Don't give up, though. Keep going and eventually results will follow.
  • Adding to what tabbykat posted...You can add your weight as frequently as you care to. some people record daily; others, like myself, record weekly. It is completely up to you.
  • Congratulations on your weight loss so far. Continue working hard to achieve your goals!
  • 5 lbs the first week or so is normal, for some people. Remember, this is not a marathon or a sprint. You will have up weeks and down weeks and you will have some weeks you'll stay the same. Just keep improving your food choices and moving your body. You'll figure it out. Keep up the hard work!
  • Welcome to MFP! I am relatively new, but have already felt the support of others through the forums and the people that have friended me. I am 47 and at 39, was told I have type 2 diabetes. You'd think that would have motivated me to lose weight, but it didn't. NOW I AM READY! Keep working hard towards your goals. I know…
  • Well, first off, congratulations for finding MFP and being brave enough to post in the forums. Secondly, congratulations on your weight loss so far. It sounds like you have the right tools and support to continue with your journey. Keep up the hard work!
  • Congratulations on a beautiful family and a healthy lifestyle. You have done amazing things already! Keep up the hard work!!!

  • If I were you, I'd stick to the 200 lb mark. Once you get there, you can then decide if you want to go further. You may find that you are perfectly happy at that size or you may find that you still want to lose more. I know that for me, I'd love to be 125, but at 47 years old, I would be happy with anything under 200 lbs.…
  • Very cool! What a great way to get some exercise in! Just think of things your kids are learning for you! :) Keep it up! You can do this!!!
  • I lived in Catasauqua for about 8 years back in the 90's. My youngest son was born in Bethlehem. Moved back to my home state of Wisconsin after my father passed away. We have some good memories from that area!
  • hi Leslie, Welcome to MFP! I have been successfully losing weight each and every week (for the last 4 weeks) mainly in part because of the forums, online friends and food/exercise tracking. Good luck on your journey!
  • I am sorry to hear about your troubles. It is tough to have such little children, but you will get through this. Keep thinking about them and making the right decisions when you are eating. They should be your inspiration. Do you have a friend/loved one that can help you out when you are at your lowest? Even a short…
  • Great job on your weight loss so far! Keep up the good work!!! WE CAN DO THIS!
  • I posted the same question when I started this a few weeks ago. It is definitely a personal preference. For me, I weigh-in every Thursday morning and this is the weight I add to MFP. I do step on the scale throughout the week, but I don't track those, except for in my head. You'll figure out what works best for you! Good…
  • Logging in and honestly tracking your food and exercise daily will help you reach your goals. It makes you accountable for what you are eating and how much you are moving. I'm sure by doing those two things, you will reach your goal. Add me as a friend and I will offer you support along the way. We both can do this!
  • I can totally understand. It is especially hard at work since that is where the temptations creep in. My department has a Nutrition Table (and there is never anything healthy on this table) and they wanted to put this right by my cube. I said no to that, but the other location I have to walk by every day. So far, I have…
  • Not quite 50 (will be 48 this year), but my hubby turns 50 this year so we are looking to lose the weight together. I have 70 lbs to lose. Please friend me, if you'd like. I am always looking for supportive people to help me with my goals. We can do this!
  • My official weigh-in is on Thursday mornings. That is the weight I put in MFP. There are other mid-week weigh-ins, but I don't add those to MFP. I like to see the bigger loss on a weekly basis.
  • Every day is a new day. Try to stay away from those chocolate bars! :) WE can do this!!! As you said - keep on, keeping on!
