Been diabetic (type 2) for 8 years now. Finally trying to lose the weight and get off the insulin. Still trying to figure this out myself, but am always looking for friends to help me towards goals.

I had to look up what Guguron was too. Didn't realize it is a suburb of New Delhi. I'm not anyone near there (in snowy/icy Wisconsin - USA) but would support you.

Looking at your profile picture, you have already made an amazing transformation! Keep it up! Add me as a friend if you'd like. :)

I too weigh-in on Thursdays. :)

I am 47, turning 48 in the summer. I currently have 70 lbs to lose, so very similar to you. My hubby turns 50 this year and we decided enough was enough! I would love to have you as a friend.

I am sorry to hear about your troubles. No one said "LIFE" would be easy, that's for sure. Just remember, the changes you make will give you more years with your son. Don't try to take too many steps at once, just little ones to get you going. These are the things that have worked for me: 1) Track all my food in the food…

It could be the Chinese food. Earlier this week my son wanted to go to lunch and he was driving. Went to the Chinese buffet instead of Subway. Thankfully my weigh-in was 4 days later or I would have had a gain, I'm sure. What else are you eating? Are you weighing your food? Drinking your water? Exercising? There can be so…

welcome to the site, newby. You can do this! :)
-
You won't be a "slack *kitten*" because you have so many reasons to do this. Good luck on your journey. :)

From When Harry Met Sally: You see? That is just like you, Harry. You say things like that, and you make it impossible for me to hate you. I LOVED the 80's and am old enough that I LIVED the 80's...big hair and all!

Good luck on this journey. It is good to find out about your lactose intolerance. Time to get yourself healthy!
-
Good luck on your journey. Sounds like you have enough reasons to start taking care of yourself. Good luck and keep up the good work! (wish my hubby cooked me dinner!) :)

I have been reading your blog and you have come such a hard way. Thank you for being so open and honest. It has opened my eyes to my own addictions. You are an INSPIRATION to me. Keep up the tremendous job!

That is so awesome! Congrats!
-
Great job! I too hit my 10lb mark today. I have a lot more to go, but we both should be very proud for sticking to this!
-
Amazing! You look fantastic!

Great job! Very inspirational! You are a very handsome young man and I doubt you are lacking for dates!
-
Congratulations on your weight loss. You stick with it even in spite of your health issues. Awesome job!

What a transformation! Amazing job!

You look fantastic! Keep up the good work. I don't blame you for posting pictures...it must feel so great to be under 200 lbs!

Welcome to MFP. You can do this! AND so can I! Good luck on your journey...one day at a time.

I have about the same amount of weight to lose as you. You can add me as a friend. WE CAN DO THIS!!!

I had joined last year, but that was before I had the app on my kindle. Now I find it so easy to enter my food/exercise as I'm sitting at home, at the gym or in a wi-fi hot spot. I really don't have any excuses! :) I can't synch up using my phone, but at least I can look up and see what the nutritional value is if I'm at a…

Great job, Kevin. Keep it up! What I like about MFP is that I can use the app on my phone, the app on my Kindle Fire and the website; so I really don't have any excuses not to log in my food and exercise. Good luck to you on this journey!
-
Sounds like you have already been doing what you need to live a healthy lifestyle. I have tried other online tools too, but what I like about MFP is the extensive food/exercise database. It really does help to find items and not have to constantly enter items from scratch. Good luck on your journey!

As others have said, you have to figure out what works best for you. I have found that weighing myself everyday is too frustrating. So for me, I weigh myself at the same of the day (first thing in the morning) and on the same day. Good luck to you!

You have made the first step by coming on to MFP and starting out. I have 80 lbs to lose and have already dropped 9 of those 80. Small goals is what I am focusing on. Start logging all of your food, start moving and enter that too. You will begin to see those numbers drop. Good luck to you!
