  • Nicely done! You look great in your progress photo.
  • Thanks everyone for your nice comments. I'm super happy :)
  • I have a few mini goals along the way and one final goal with a big reward. So far I've got, a picnic in a nice seaside town, buy a new book, a facial, order some new makeup, a nice item of clothing, a night at a B&B (that one's the next to last) and my final goal has a visit to a huge shopping centre for a new wardrobe.

  • Paul, I'll be thinking about you on Monday. I'm sure you'll be fine. Like the previous poster said, follow the rules and work hard. You'll do great!
  • That's great! I noticed today that a cute little jacket I had in my closet now fits me, it was so great :)

  • Thanks, it feels great to know that even though I feel like nothing is happening and I can't see the change... things are happening!

  • Thanks so much for posting :) This will probably be the hardest and BEST thing I'll ever do! I'm really motivated and I feel like I have a good enough support network. My husband is amazing, I can talk to him about anything at all and we've been talking for hours on end about what could happen, what to be careful with,…
  • Thanks for posting. I'm trying to exercise more and I'm actually enjoying it. Already on my pre-op diet I have problems with what to comfort myself but I'm taking walks and watching my favourite tv-shows and it does help a bit although it doesn't give the SAME comfort as food used to. When I was depressed a few years ago I…
  • I can't afford therapy but I'm well aware that I'm morbidly obese because of a food addiction. I know I'll struggle emotionally when I can't reach for food to comfort me but I feel like my life is under control and that I'll be able to deal with it. My husband is very supportive and so are my friends.
  • Thanks for posting this. It's encouraging! I know already that my surgeon or his entire team haven't had any deaths, so that's great to know. I feel completely ready for this, I've read as much as I can, one of my best friends had surgery 4 years ago and I have seen (and hopefully learned) from her struggles and succeses.…
  • I didn't consider doing any other kind of surgery because there were no other options given to me. My surgery is completely free for me (I live in Sweden, we have free healthcare). I don't get to decide what type of surgery to have unless I want to pay for it myself but from what I've read the Gastric Bypass works well and…
