  • You probably burned up more calories making it and throwing it away than you consumed. Not sure I would get that worried about it. Do some stretching exercises and move on to have a great day. Just a thought.
  • Maybe you can get some poison stickers and put on the shelves by the candy...Probably not a good idea to put them where the customers can see them...
  • I don't mean to pick on this particular answer, but it bothers me how so many folks tend to give human qualities to food. (e.g. good, bad, terrible, awful, etc.) Food is food. It is not good or bad. How we prepare it and how much we eat might be "good" or "bad" for our health, but food isn't the culprit here. I understand…
  • I am sure I might have overdone the preparation but the primary thing stressed by my "research" was to be sure they were dry. I am sure I iwll be more "half-arsed" (LOL) in the future. They were definitly worth the small effort.
  • Nope, actually pretty simple. I looked up ways to do it on Google and it was pretty easy. I just washed the grapes very well then seperated the grapes from the stems. Make sure the grapes are all dry. I put them on a cookie sheet lined with paper towels and then let them rest awhile. Put 1 cup of grapes in individual…
  • When I first went on the GERD medication I was prescribed 8 capsules a day. Luckily, now I only need one at night. I think weight loss my weight loss and reduced stress were the major factors to reduce the medication needs. I wish you luck as I know how uncomfortable it can be. At one point I also had to elevate my bed to…
  • I have GERD also and I am on Omeprazole. It used to be a prescription only drug but now is available over the counter. You might ask a pharmacist if there is a store brand with the same medication to save some money. Hope it helps.
  • Thanks for such a common sense and helpful posting. Everyone should read and reread this so it becomes part of their attitude about weight and weight loss.
  • Thanks for the input. I knew you folks would have some real experiences to share. That is one of the great things about this site. I appreciate the thoughts.
  • I opened your posting because, as with others, your subject topic scared me. I really enjoyed your attitude and applaud you in the goals and approach. Sure you will be sharing your progress with us often. Since I am a "neighbor" of yours, I have to encourage you to help us keep the "neighborhood' looking lean and fit. LOL.…
  • Thanks for the terrific post. Excellent advice for everyone.
  • Thanks for the reply. Sounds as if you had a real life-changing experience for the possitive. That is great. I am limited to walking for my exercise due to recent surgery, but I have been into some kind of exercise (running-when my body was much younger; weights, etc.) most of my adult life. I just feel so much better…
  • Thanks to you. Love your quote.
  • Another man checking in here from FL.
  • Thanks for the comments. That is really helpful and probably explains why I have been stuck at the same weight for awhile. Appreciate the help.
  • Congratulations seems inadequate for your accomplishment. Although much older, I had similar experiences. My doctor basically scared me into finally doing something about my current weight when my blood sugar was approaching diabetic level. I totally understand the body image comment. When I was probably about your age I…
  • I agree with all the other responses. One "trick" I use when I know in advance where I will be having dinner is to look for the restaurant''s menu on line and sort of plan out what I will order. It has helped me in many situations as it reduces the temptation of dealing with the entire menu of choices after getting to the…
  • I am sure this varies with each individual and their psychic make-up regarding weight, but I could never go an entire month without checking the scale. I weight daily, but only consider my Sunday morning as the "official" weight for the week. Also, due to wide variances on the scale numbers, I only count my scale as…
  • Outstanding job. Notice your son looks mighty proud both in the "before" and "after" picture. I am sure he will appreicate having you around a lot longer due to your hard work.
  • Fantastic success. Congratulations.
  • Thanks for the encouraging comments. Support is so important in the weight battle, and it is a battle.
  • Thanks for the thoughts. I can see the difference in my face and neck so I guess I will just have to keep looking at that part. When I lost the weight with WW I still saw a fat man in the mirror. I realized later that that must be how a person with a serious eating disorder must feel.
  • Thank you for sharing your story and pictures. I have been using this program for 1 month and you are an inspiration.
