  • I suspect whether this could be considered an addiction will vary between people depending on why they do it. For me it wasn't an addiction - I was a chunky teenager and I was ashamed for anyone to see me eating junk food. I didn't want to feel judged/humiliated any more than I already was.

  • Don't know of any studies proving that GMOs are harmful to health. I do know that there is a lot of concern over harm to the environment, reduced genetic variability of crops, etc.

  • You could try using quinoa flour. Still plenty of carbs, but more protein than you get from traditional wheat flour.
  • You say you lost 66 pounds in a little over a year. I believe the suggested rate for reasonable, sustainable weight loss is 1 pound per week. You seem to be losing faster than that, so I don't think you have anything to worry about.
