It could be a slow process.......good shoes for sure, icing your shins after each run......are you running on an incline? Good points! I am also doing this for a lifetime of health, and I like setting goals, too. I use the same panko recipe, but get rid of the butter because you dont' need it... My wedding is 4 months away, and want to drop just a little weight. I would rather be toned than worry about the number. So, I'm going to stick to the calories and do all the workouts.......let's just see what happens. It's a win-win situation no matter what:)
