  • I don't understand how anyone would choose to skip Kenpo. It's my favorite! I like lifting, but Kenpo is FUN! Course, I always wanted to be a kickboxer, so that may have something to do with it. That's the one I give 110%. I never back off the intensity during Kenpo. Love it!
  • When I started I couldn't do more than 1/2 their reps on anything. Now I go through the Ab Ripper series faster than they do and I do all the reps. I'm on week 7. If you stick with it, you will notice a difference over time.
  • When I am sick of plain veggies, I cut up bell peppers (the red, orange or yellow, never the green) and dip them in Kraft Free Zesty Italian dressing. I also do that with baby carrots and cucumbers. The dressing has 15 cal/ 2 Tbsp and has no fat. Just so you know: avocados are a fruit. And they are rather high in fat,…
  • I found out that the more well-off people in my city donate to one particular Salvation Army, so I buy alot of my clothes there. I have gone from a 16 to a 10. I've been stalled at 10 for awhile, but am finally starting to lose again. And I know what you mean: I was only in a size 12 for about 3 weeks. I only bought one…
  • For me - MFP overestimates for circuit training and underestimates for walking or jogging. So, if you're walking or jogging mainly, it's safe to accept that MFP is at least not over estimating, though it might not be right on.
  • I am at EXACTLY the same place. I have been going between 170 and 175 for the past 7 weeks. I feel your pain! I even got down to 169.8 one day and today I am at 172.6. It's frustrating, but I finally got through my negative attitude about it. I hadn't given up, but i wasn't being great about my eating. I was eating 1…
  • I used to be the EXACT same way. For me, it was going to college and finding a group of people I felt I had something in common with that started to bring me out of my shell, but I still wouldn't talk to people I didn't know or hadn't been formally introduced to. Even if they started the conversation it was awkward. After…
  • I chose a weight 9 pounds under the top end of my healthy BMI. That way, if I gain a couple pounds after I get to my goal weight, I won't immediately be overweight again.
  • I love Gilad Janklowicz's "Total Body Sculpt" and "Bodies in Motion" DVD's. I think no matter what level you're at, you can get something out of them. You can get the ones that are "As seen on tv" and they are only 22 minutes long, or you can get the extended ones which are about 45 minutes long, I think. The "Bodies in…
  • I don't worry about it if it's from fruit or milk. I did give up yogurt because of the insane amount of sugar in it, though. I can't stand non-flavored yogurt and the flavored would eat up 90% of my sugar grams for the day in just one serving.

  • Do you mean SICK Puppies? "You're Going Down"? Dead puppies is a little worse, lol. Mine would be "Learning How to Smile" -everclear or "Darlin' Do Not Fear" - Brett Dennen
  • American beauty? [/quote] Indeed.
  • I am Number Four?
  • Snatch. "Apparently your mother seems to prefer that I go through life like a &*$#ing prisoner while she keeps my **** in a mason jar under the sink! Pass the asparagus."
  • When I was trying to find out if my HRM was right for me, I just went on Amazon.com and looked at user reviews. I have the FT7, so I can't answer questions about the FT4, but likely the user reviews on there will answer any questions you have.
  • I definitely wouldn't skip and double up. If you get off schedule, that's no big deal, but doubling up might make you a wreck the next day. I'm only on week 2 day 3 and I can't imagine doing 2 of them in one day. The way they have it set up you rest the muscles that you worked the previous day and then blast them again the…
  • I apologize for the misunderstanding. I was not trying to be unkind. There are those who make goals like that and I just hate to think what it does to their poor bodies. Glad you're not one of them and much luck on your continued journey :)
  • How did no one get this one? The Goonies!! "Jane, did you compare the percentage of teenage male Rex Manning fans to the incidents of homosexuality amongst teenage males?"
  • I'm not trying to rain on your parade, but you can't lose 24 pounds in the next 12 days unless you get liposuction. It is not physically possible. And if it were, it would be the most unhealthy weight loss ever.
  • I am starting week 2 tomorrow. I have a yoga class on Wednesdays that is 90 minutes, so I lined it up so I can go to class instead of doing his yoga. I'm in!
  • I'm watching the one for the third Twilight now. They are some of the funniest ones for sure. "Midnight barn encounters rarely end well."
  • I philosophize and try to remember that if you can't do anything about a situation or problem, then what is the good in stressing over it? Pretty much always works for me.
  • I have a Polar FT7 as well. I did alot of research and read alot of product reviews online before getting it. It was the cheapest one for the features I wanted: I wanted a HRM that calculated calories burned. It was $88 new from Sears. I've been using it for a few weeks now and I absolutely love it. It does come with the…
  • I mostly do Fiber Plus Cinnamon Oat Crunch or Kashi Honey Sunshine. They're both nice ways to get a little more fiber in cereal without it tasting awful or having way too much sugar. When I'm not needing the extra fiber, I eat Cinnamon Life. It's my dessert cereal.
  • The recommended amount is 20-36grams, so I wouldn't worry. MFP sets it low (at least it did for me at 17g). It's the only thing I change after I let it do its guided nutritional plan. I often get 35+ and have never had a problem. They say the recommended average for women is 25g.
  • As far as a better calculator for calories burned, look here: caloriesperhour.com They have a pretty extensive list of activities. The best way to really calculate them accurately for you, though, is to get a heart rate monitor. Low end is about $80 though for a decent one, so I'd only get one if you're serious about…
  • I've been doing nights for almost 7 years and I don't really have problems with it. I am ready for a day job, but mostly because I miss sunshine. I work 10pm to 6am. I sleep from about 8am-4pm. So, I get my full 8 hours of sleep. then I wake up, do a 30-60 minute workout and shower before my hubby gets home from his day…
  • Mine's open, but I eat alot of processed food since I hate to cook. I know "the sodium... gasp". I don't track sodium cause I don't care about it. I don't add salt to anything and I used to salt EVERYTHING so doing 300% better is fine with me. I find it funny people who flip out over sodium and don't get half the fiber…
  • If your pictures are of yourself, I'd say you're already too thin. Do you binge *and* purge? If so, that is most likely what your skin is reflecting.
  • My hubby knows my weight. I tell him whenever I lose anything. However, he has much more weight to lose than myself. If he was in shape (and especially if he weighed less than me) I don't know if I'd tell him. Though, I was 202 when I started and that was about 10 pounds more than my dad. That hurt.
