I'll probably go there this afternoon to at least have a look, as its only about a 5min drive away!

Just seen on internet coventry runner charge £20 for gait analysis and is then waivered if you buy shoes from there.
-
With regard to your shoe size for trainers is it generally your normal size or are you best to go half a size up or down? Obviously I wouldn't want them too tight but the ones I have at the minute are a bit loose for when I'm running, they seem fine for doing aerobics etc.

from what I can see online I have a medium arch, I overpronate and have a forefront strike!

I didn't even know about that Coventry Runner shop it's not far from my house either. The only thing is I wouldn't want to go there and feel obliged to buy what they recommend as I don't have a lot of money and can't really justify spending more than £40 on a pair of trainers. Maybe I'll go to sports direct and see if they…

I know what a horrible situation you are in I was 18 when I was diagnosed and recived a transplant at 23. being young is hard having to deal with this as you feel like youve not really had a life and you have to change everything. Whereabouts are you from? All of my treatment was done in Coventry and the doctors, nurses and…

Just a quick question as I'm still starting out with the whole running thing, whenI go out I start walking then jog as much as I can then walk and bit jog a bit etc when I set up my runtastic is it better to put it as walking or running? does it make any difference as it calculates your speed etc anyway? Thanks guys :)
-
Download the runtastic app and take it with you when you go out. I've just started running and use this. It uses gps to record your map, distance avg speed and cals burned plus you can sync it to your mfp. :)

Dialysis isn't the most pleasant thing to have to go through but there are different types you can choose from and they are changing all the time. I did haemo with a line in my neck and then my groin as it got infected so I avoided having a fistula which I was pleased about. I'm UK too and my doctor said a transplant would…

Hi I had a kidney transplant 3 years ago. I used to smother my legs in aqueous cream at night as I used to scratch them until they bled in my sleep. Do you take calcichew or anything to have before you eat to bind the phosphate? It's really frustrating I know with the fluid retention, itching etc. My kidney failure was…

I go to a class called military fitness circuits and its brilliant. every week its completely different so it's not boring. The class incorporates cardio, abs, weights, loads of squats! The instructor works you hard its the only class Ive stuck to as I enjoy it so much :)

I was never put on a renal diet as such before my transplant. I was put on low potassium which was quite hard to follow. The main thing is to limit salt intake.
