  • @bmeadows380 - amazing job!! Just remember that you have some things beyond your control this week and after a couple of great weeks it would be normal for a bit of an uptick. You got this!! It sounds like you found your “switch” again!!
  • So I come in here and post, and my phone eats it, ugghh! I am still lurking, even if my posts get lost somehow. Lol.
  • Waving - hi everybody! I lost my way for a bit, but I am back at it again.
  • @bmeadows380 - the worst when it is going on, but the whoosh when it leaves is nice, lol.
  • Starting weight: 325 on 1/2/2020 Current weight: 315.6 Goal weight: 161 Milestone: back to 275, where I was last time I lost my focus Loss this week: 9.4 What’s working I have no clue. I am currently figuring things out. I have started going to a medical weight loss clinic through the Lahey Clinic. I am working with a…
  • @bmeadows380 That must have been frustrating to be soooo close to back to 100 lost, but you will be there in no time!! Glad to hear the emotional/physical hunger is waining also. That is definitely a hard battle to fight. As for the family - my own parents are making me crazy so I have no answers there, lol.
  • Just popping my head in to say hello. I am restarting again. I have only been back at it for about 5 days so I’m not ready for an official update so I’m just here to say hello! 🤗
  • My starting weigh 321 My goal 161 Milestone 271 (where I was last year before I went crazy) Current 299.4 Total loss 21.6 I’m not really “counting” my losses until I get back to where I was last year. That will be down 30 more. I was doing really well making healthy choices. Now I am sliding into bad habits and just going…
  • @bmeadows380 - that switch is everything. When it is “on” for me I’m a weight losing rockstar. When it’s off, all bets are off. So even though the scale didn’t move, you still had a victory!
  • @bmeadows380 wow - what a process!! Can’t wait to hear how it turned out.
  • @Beauty1726 Doctors can be the worst sometimes. Yes - I’m overweight. I’m painfully aware - literally. Sometimes I just want to say - if you don’t have something to offer other than eat less, shut up, lol.
  • @bmeadows380 I’m so glad things seem to be going in the right direction for you!
  • @BettJo64 That’s so very normal. A couple of pounds swing every day is to be expected as much as it sucks to see. That’s mostly fluid.
  • @bmeadows380 I totally get the willpower thing. I am right there with you. For me I do great for a long time but when I loosen the reins a bit - don’t log for a vacation or whatever- I can never get it back. Hopefully we will both figure it out soon.
  • Starting Weight: 321 in 2018 Goal weight: 161 Current Weight: 309.4 Next Major Goal: 271 (where I fell off the wagon last year. I am 3 weeks into my reboot. I am finally starting to get past the point where I am starving all the times, the blood sugar crashes where I get the shakes and break out in a sweat are passing - so…
  • @bmeadows380 I hope you learn whatever it is you need to with this experience. That would be super hard for me - it would give me the shakes something fierce, but I hope it either works the way you hope or helps you figure something else out. If you don’t mind my asking - do you normally set your own limits or do you go…
  • Wow BetJo64 - that’s amazing!
  • I know any gain sucks, and I totallly get your frustration - but there is one positive I can see. You have never just totally given up. I find for myself, when I STOP beating myself up and just accept the "I'll think about this later", meaning in a few weeks or months or whatever not tomorrow, is when I really get in…
  • I think I am finally regaining my sanity. Phew. I don't know why it was so hard to dig in and get to work this time. A lot of the weight I regained was from the old "I'm going to get back on my diet soon so I should eat this whole - insert whatever". I don't know, maybe it was empty nest syndrome. My slide started when my…
  • What amazing news! Congratulations!!

  • @bmeadows380 I stopped in because it's overdue. I am working on some things and I don't know if I am quite ready to get back to work yet. But I know step one is coming back here and man did this make me smile. I have been making cold process for about 4 years. I love soaping!!
  • Aren't we a chipper group, lol. @gin_rummy and @bmeadows380 I feel you. I am struggling for motivation these days also. I haven't done really badly, but I have had a couple of "cheat days", that's for sure. I logged them, so I guess I own them, but it has been a struggle. I have been planning less, eating out more, having…
  • Wow - all kinds of new faces! If you go to groups and enter 350, you should find us. You don't need to be invited or approved or anything- just click join and you're in! I'll send friend requests to folks I know aren't on my list but if I miss you it's accidental so send one to me!
  • Hasn't happened to me, but I am a former smoker and I have those type of dreams about cigarettes. I will be really upset in the dreams because I'm having a cigarette but I know I shouldn't be because I know I've quit. I think it's probably normal. Think about how much you probably thought of food when you were gaining. I'm…
  • Wow - you guys kicked major *kitten* with this! I was just checking in on this thread - since I was gone the first part of July I didn't join in. Good thing - I can't seem to get past 32ozs. You guys are inspiring!
  • @tammyfranks - sorry to hear you've been sick.
  • Weigh day Thursday Starting weight (6/1): 280 Week 1 (6/7) : 288 +8 Week 2 (6/14) : 276 -12 (-4 personal monthly total) New Group total: -23.6 The huge loss this week is, obviously, because the +8 from the week before was water retention. The way my losses usually work - I'll be up next week. I really do wish it was…
  • I think life is making it harder for me. I have an autoimmune disorder that affects my GI tract and until the end of last year was being treated with prednisone. I was on it for most of 2016 and 2017 and I put 100 lbs on in those 2 years. So I switched to a new med the end of last year and started logging the beginning of…
  • @bmeadows380 - depression can be such a heavy load to carry. I can tell you - and it is just my experience - but for me meds don't mask anything really. For me it's more like they clear the fog in my brain enough to allow me to be me. Maybe the experience is different for each individual. I'm certainly not saying they are…
  • @CheezWhiz88 - that is wonderful that your husband is so supportive. My MIL used to hate me and my H was too afraid of her drama to ever confront her rude behavior. The good news is my MIL loves me now - so hopefully your MIL will come around.
